Cannot figure out how to get follow and assist to work in inner space / ISboxer...

I'm starting to think that using variable keystrokes is adding a layer of complexity that is possibly clouding the real issue.

I think I'm going to make another setup for him based on your guide and troubleshoot from there.

I have a feeling that the problem is an inconsistency of ingame key binds between characters. Another possibility is an outdated version of inner space or ISBoxer based on the comment that without changing anything the setup stopped working then all he had to do was reexport.

Oddly enough I'm at the hospital right now... just had my first baby 3 days ago! I'm not going to have a bunch of time to help malgor out.

DUDE! congratulations! I too am a newly recent father again. I am seriously pleased for you.



Several of us tried out the variable keystroke options. Yes they work. however, just like you are finding out, we can accomplish the same thing with less effort. My suspicion is, Malgor has his "Control" methods out of wack, and or in addition to game keybinds not appropriately synced with ISBoxer. From looking at it, I think Malgor needs to stop, delete all, and start fresh... Build a new profile from hand. Control, Toon A, Toon B. .. then populate his mapped keys, and reset to default in game keybinds, and only alter the 3-4 he needs. His re-export may not actually work. Exporting takes into account, things like keybinds in game and the main file for ISBoxer. I believe its no shock to know that if a person can import someone else .XML file, locate all appropriate discrepancies, change them all, and re-export... that person should be able to build a basic file on their own.

What I attempt to do, is provide enough assistance to get a basic understanding of the software, and how its built, then operates. After that, the user can then expand and grow with it.

*edit - completely agree with apps post above. That is probably the best option. Go read the guide that he posted above. It's what I used to make my setup anyway. But if you decide not to I've listed some things below to check.

I think the way forward is recheck your ingame key binds are all default with the exception of follow and target my target. Also, make sure you have the latest version of Innerspace and ISBoxer.

Once you've done that, from your main press the "follow me" hot key to make the alt target you and then follow. From your main, target an NPC. Now switch to the alt and press F6 to make him target your target (make sure that F6 is not used as a hotkey in ISBoxer first). The alt should target the NPC. If he doesn't, recheck to make sure the alt is currently targeting the main who is targeting an NPC. If that checked out, reverify your keybind in game for target of target (should be F6). Hopefully, that all works and we can recheck your ISBoxer setup.

Im going to try and make a new setup for you tonight, but like I said above... I've got some other things going on right now. I completely agree with apps... stay away from modifiers like shift, ctrl, and alt until we get this working.
