    Default Mechanical Gaming Keyboard experience

My 7 months old Razer Anansi dead (all that fancy features, all I ever used was open wow with 1 macro key) last night. I am now looking for a replacement. I am thinking going for a mechanical Gaming Keyboard, not sure if I should trust Razer again. Anyone has any suggestions or experience for a mechanical keyboard.

edit: i came across this on Razer's site. How can you justify a non-mechanical $250 keyboard. I guess 150 goes to licensing of Star War. http://store.razerzone.com/store/raz...oryId.35156900

I would have a tough time not using a mechanical keyboard after making the switch and I recommend them to everyone.

daskeyboard is fucking awesome if you want mechanical. I made a mistake and got one without key identifiers etched on the keys, but it turned out to make me a better player. Well minus the occasional woops

You can get a quiet mechanical keyboard that doesn't "click" but, I prefer the click sound myself because it makes me
feel like I'm getting something done.

it's terrible for programming but good for WOW.. close keys! don't have to reach far for the F keys

Are there any mechanical keyboards that also have macro keys?

250$ is a bit steep, I have never used razer products so I can't vouch for the quality.

I don't really understand why anyone would want a mechanical keyboard. Makes me feel like I'm back in the 80's. =p

By far the best keyboard I have ever used is the Logitech diNovo Edge. My wife got it for me a couple years ago and I love it. It was 200$ retail back then but I think you can get them cheaper now.

It does not have macro keys but it does have programmable function keys. For macro's I use a g13.

I love it, Im using steelseries mech keyboard: When I start typing, reminds me of an old IBM keyboards (click sound)
plus, people can hear you typing from miles away.
