There is a rep cap of +10 for all agents/corps/factions.
Rep gain is a constant percentage for each mission e.g. a combat mission might give me +5% (example only real figures are unknown)
So if my rep is 0 with an agent I get +0.05 rep for that mission (5% of 10)
But if my rep with that agent is 5 I only get +0.025 (5% of 5, where 5 is the difference between max rep and current rep)
So rep gain decreases as you get better rep with an entity. You can see the individual chnages on your character sheet - go to the 'Standings' item and then click on the 'Transactions' tab (IIRC) that will show you each gain or loss.
However as far as I know there's no reduction in rep gained for doing lots of missions with the same agent in a row. However it's quite possible to get a bunch of missions in a row that have low rep gains as each mission has different rewards. However AFAIK the rewards scale consistently so a mission with an ISK reward higher than another should also have a better rep gain than the other. Might be better to say that each mission has a multilpier to the standard reward for a mission.
This made me laugh, I'm guessing you're either new to EVE or a master of understatement.
