Problem is Benq has sold several different 22" models most of them don't support 1920X1080.
If the monitor doesn't have a DVI or HDMI connector I don't think it will support an HDTV resolution.
But to help him we need information from his actual equipment. The real model number form the monitor
or what the monitor is reporting to the video driver would really decide this issue.
right, I just got confused when the monitor went from a Benq to a samsung
RAF Tour Guide files are obsolete, I went to Zygor
MultiBoxers play with themselves
i got my video card to show the 1920 x 1080 resolution but when itas applied my screen goes all distorted like squashed and stretched, my guild mate suggested using a dvi cable ( full pins), getting one tonight on my way home,
got nothing to lose right, but how can the cable make the difference?
my monito is a Benq E2200
After you changed the resolution the monitor did not change to the new resolution, I have dell at work then is not very good as sensing the resolution on the VGA input. Often you can correct this, after you set the resolution on the video card and the monitor is messed up, try powering the monitor off then back on.
If you use a DVI cable the monitor is not going to have guess the resolution so it should work much better.
Question what did you have to do to get the vido card to show the 1920 X 1080 resolution?
