Rarity of Golden Sansam and Arthas Tears are RIDICULOUS

Pretty sure golden sansam, blindweed and mountain silversage are pre-outland herbs that just happen to also spawn in outland.
I think you'd have more luck finding them in azeroth.

Arthas' tears always seemed so useless compared to the other herbs, always had so many of it and nothing useful to make from them. But good for leveling for sure. There are certain criteria for their spawn locations that would help you find them.

The amount of spawn points probably doesn't match with the frequency they spawn if you compare outland to Azeroth. That might be the problem. I'd try Azeroth indeed.

Make adepts or onslot exlier from 300-315 ....

Then exiler of mastery at 315-320

then exler of dracionian wisdom to 335 or mad alchments potion


Bingo no golden sansam needed.

I love you sam. No homo! But that still only cuts out the amount necessary for 300+. You need 50 per char for 275-300... i mean there are other options but still.

The options for this area would be...

45 stacks of plaguebloom & 45 stacks of icecap + 30 stacks of golden sansam + 15 stacks of mountain silversage
75 stacks of golden sansam + 37.5 stacks of mountain silversage
75 stacks of plague bloom + 37.5 stacks of mountain silversage
There are also the stoneoil potion things but that requires like 2 stacks per char... so thats 60 stacks of that. That would be just as tedious as farming the sansam. I don't know how many fishing attempts you can get per hour but...i assume it is a max of 3 per minuet. So around 180 casts. If you were to get one every time you would not even get 1 stack per hour.


Edit: i already have X amount of sansam, so i'm going with the 30 stacks of fish option. I just bought 10 stacks on the AH and am starting to level fishing. Faster than trying to get the herbs.

Do as many arcanite transmutes as possible. Arcane crystals are going for under gold each on my server, thorium bars are also cheap. I get a bunch of points out of this.

Dreamfoil is cheap enough that I use the dreamfoilx3, silversagex1 recipe for several points.

Very much similar to what i did. Getting Alch maxed out quicker....but using more expensive mats to get there actually worked out better than waiting for the cheaper mats on the Ah or grinding for them imo.

Golden sansam is 100g per stack on my server, or more. And there really is never any up. So regardless of the price i would have to farm almost all of it
