Ok, well I just read a random player is debuffed with Wailing Souls and then the lazer beam starts ~3seconds later. Hopefully I can pay attention to this! It also says "Stare into the abyss, and see your end!", not sure if that is when the debuff is cast or when he turns on the lazer.

Devourer of Souls {heroic} has a ton going on. hard to keep track of everything. First thing I did for this one is add NumPad0 to my setup

Master - macro /stopattack {so I don't lose my target}
Healer - macro /cast [target=focustargettarget] Chain Heal {drops heals on whomever DoS has targetted for Mirror}
All other - keybound target nearest friend

That helps a lot with the mirrored soul stuff. Gotta keep an eye out for when the red beam drops to start DPS again.

I had to max out my camera distance to see around this boss. It's near impossible to tell what way it's facing half the time. The hardest part really is trying to see the puddles and know what way to move asap. Even with Shadow Res aura, it was brutal. Gonna take some practice to get this one down.

There's really nothing too special about this instance for a tank/ranged/healer setup. Check out the videos up if you need a quick overview. Otherwise, it's pretty straightforward and has been mentioned here:

- Don't stand in the fires
- Don't dps when he mirrors damage

Three phases to this guy. Phase one is standard dps him til he mirror, then just make your guys follow tank and run around until he pounces on someone. Move everyone out of fire and continue dps. Phase 2 he starts summoning a crap ton of ghosts. This is basically your free dps time. The ghosts hit lightly so just ignore them and beat him down fast. Phase 3 was where I wiped a lot. You have to be really ready to move in an instant. He casts an AoE that hits every .4secs in front of the face. What you want to do is have everyone strafe to your right. He turns to the left so you should only get hit once. After moving clear of AoE, dps hard and he should die before doing anything else.

What! They dont pop fast enough for some of us. ICC 5 man trash is a prized commodity! Heck it would be nice to have a stream of ICC Raid trash at the start to grind out the Ashen Verdict rep for more patterns.

As I said above, I run DK+4 Rets. I was able to get him down on normal mode which still really hard for me. The trick is that you need a mod to announce what's coming. The amount of damage a melee team takes is pretty high but there's not a whole lot you can do.

I think I can probably do him on Heroic right now but there's no real point. I'm going to farm the first two bosses in PoS on normal mode for emblems and the PoS trash for the Hilts. Since you can do all of the Hilt quests in normal mode...

WHAT? Are you serious? I thought it had to be heroic! FAAACK, I've been sitting on one of these due to Garfrost kicking my ass and I finally killed him last night only to forget to loot the hammer. Poop.

Yep, everything can be done for the Hilt on non-Heroic mode.
