On normal mode bronjahm is a spank/tank fight for me (with staggered tremor totems). Only tried him 3 times on HC mode but there i fail. He keeps healing himself cause i'm not reacting fast enough, making my healer running out of mana eventually. So i wanna put the orb into my dps target macro (pretty much like the ice tombs). Anyone has the exact name of the orb?

The key to this fight in heroic on bronjahm is kiting him. DPS him fast and when he does his orb thing kite him away from it, keep dps'ing him and he will go to the next phase without ever healing. I too could not out dps the heals from the orb until I tried this and then it made it back into a tank and spank fight

/tar corrupt should get it for you however I will suggest to you a different strategy. Ignore that stupid shard and just muscle thru it. My team consists of 3 dk and a feral druid tank, if you can muster up 4 k dps you likely should be able just to burst him down, I wouldn't even keep your alts away, just melee range it bloodlust is ftw

    Default bronjahmn is pretty easy

my team is 1 pally tank,3 ele shams, and 1 druid healer. I stack my 4 toons right on the ring at the top of the steps and blow my cd's on my tank and run in I put bronjahm on the other side of the ring so he is far as possible away but still within my lightning bolt spell range. My team has enough dps to burst him down to phase 2 before his shard heals him at all. I then follow toons back to middle for phase two drop my tots and burn him down. I hit my follow key to bring back any feared team member to the middle and my druid has ridiculous mana regen and aope healing power so thats not a problem for me. You can also hotkey one of your shamans to drop an earthbind totem as soon as the shard pops and it will also slow it down.. I tried for extra tough by just tanking him directly in the middle on heroic and never trying to avoid the shards healing him i dpsed him down through two shard heals and went to phase rwo with about 30% mana on my dps 80% mana on my healer. I went to the middle and was going to burn him but sometimes tremor tot doesnt pulse at the right time and my tank was feared and i instinctively hit the follow key which made all my toons rush to the aoe I managed to get back to the middle but my healer got feared immediatley and just got burned too fast on the aoe and went down. Shortly after my dps died and I pop LoH and i managed to get him to a bit below 40k beofre I died. Now I did him half-assed this way never cared about the shards and 4 of my guys died and i got him to below 40k on heoric. I understand the patch nerfs this instance today and it should even be easier. If your team can do any of the icc instances on normal mode you can do them on heroic with no problem the strategies are the same you just need more dps. My team has every triumph emblem armor, relic, ring, and trinket you can have for their role and I know that makes my job a lot easier. If you dont have the dps dont even do heroic until you have all the best pieces for your guys from the normal modes or its just going to be a repair gold monster. edit..I just read patch notes and devourer casts mirrored soul less often and my shamans get a 5% increase in damage form my elemental talent jesus blizz thanks for making it even easier to do instances with my group. Devourer is a bit of luck on heoric but now that he will do less mirrored soul means i can dps the shit out of him without having to move around as much and I get an overall 15% dps output from my three shamans lmfao!

I do not think Bronjahmn got nerfed in this patch. I had a hard night on both bosses last night, I think I must have latency issues at night because I wiped 5 times on this guy before skipping him and then wiped twice on the last boss before going to bed. It was a really rough night lol.

I really think kiting the shard is the easiest way to do the first phase, I pull the boss to the left so that the shard ends up over to the left and then run him around the outer circle, by the time he is on the other side he is ready to go to the second phase which in my opinion is all about luck with the fears if you are not running shammies. My druid can heal most of the time through the fear but sometimes a toon could already be at low health and die too fast. Last night my Druid was feared every run, totally sucked lol.

he's very simple this is how i do it:

my setup is 1 druid tank 3 ele shaman, 1 resto sham

put range dps at the entrance along with the healer. drop totems, + make sure you stagger tremors (drop 1, every second instead of together)

drop fire ele's, send tank in burst him down, when he gets to 30% he go into phase 2, call your troops into the center and then dps and he's dead.

if you cant get to phase 2, this is because your dps is too low and you will come into low dps strategy

this strategy is, if you cant burst him down quick enough he will create souls hards, these will heal him when he come in contact with them.

so when one gets a soul shard extracted , kite him around the room while you dps, you will then get to phase 2.

    hope that helps.

I killed Bro lots and lots on normal. My team is still young and gearing up - bit gimped for heroic ICC 5 mans.

But basically the best way I found for me to kill him was just to churn and burn as fast as I could. I run a balanced group pally tank-3 boomkins-1 treekin. Just having a dedicated healer and no clothies allows me to heal through many situations I've found. Done all the other heroics no problem.

To start I have everyone on follow and fight in the center of the room pumping out as much DPS as possible then he's already into phase 2 where the hardest part is spamming follow on the slaves who get feared into the wailing souls. If I get feared then I have to break follow so everyone isn't dragged into the crap. Then make my way back to him spamming heals all the way on whoever needs it.

I would recommend not using follow to get back in the middle - as someone has already said it can screw you when you do something silly like hit it when your tank gets feared. Use your IWT key - it's something you should get used to doing anyway after fears, has a longer range than follow, and will get your guys back where you want definitely., as opposed to maybe facing strangely or not actually following because they got feared out of range.

As for the way I personally do it, I just run all my guys right up to him, ignore the shards, and just burn him down through the healing.

I just did him on normal, had trouble w/ it before(more hp's and spellpower).....actually, didn't even get him close before. I can burn through the shard (Probably not on heroic yet but lol neway

Imo.....normal = hard as one of the wotlk release heroics. I'll probably have to try the kite method on heroic sometime.

Its inconsistant. Ive killed him with a pally 4x shaman group on heroic several times. I just dps and ignore the heal. Sometimes he gets 3-4 heals and the first 3 min of the fight is nil, other times he gets one or none and its trivial. 3600gear score and you should be fine. As for phase 2. Interact with target spam. By far the easiest encounter in the place. Trash mobs of thoes packs of 5 are harder.
