*edit* I clicked "Do not advance to the next step for at least 0.1 seconds" and that didn't help.

Just for fun, I tried rebinding that hotkey slot to "E" and changed my keymaps in ISBoxer to use E instead of Alt-1. Still no change.
Try setting your DPS Abilities in the First Step of your DPS Rotation key and the Assist Me key in a Second Step. It may be that you are calling the DPS Ability while the Slave is targeting your Lead to aquire his/her target.

I would always avoid using combo keys with ALT and CTRL as much as you possibly have to for critical functions like Assist, Follow, and Target. Instead, use keys you KNOW you arent likely to use, like "`", "Home", "End", "Page up" and "Page Down"

Then when you pass those through ISBoxer, you NEVER have an accidental key hold. And it frees up the ALT+(key) for your dps. Yet still, if you are really watching skill / attack GCD's you can effectively write "macro" keys for dps. (not really a macro, but it works the same way)

I.e. Slam, Assault, Sundering Assault, Commanding Shout etc all have different GCD's. place them in order in your DPS keymap Action from longest to instant... so that when you press a key, it will try to do the longest GCD first, and if its on cooldown, it tries the next, and the next and the next.. while if everything is on CD, then you are just spamming your instant attack for only a second or two tops.

The result is you take 4-5 actions and put them in one key... thus freeing up more keys for other things, and all the while keeping your keybind setup in game very simple and clean.

I dont use ANY of the ALT+key or CTRL+key combos. None.

Also I suggest you work out the targeting and assisting before applying the DPS of any key.
Its a lot easier to type, but its not difficult in ISBoxer either.

with the "Target Me", "Assist Me" and "Follow Me" keys setup. (and using only two accounts)

your DPS key should look like this.
    Character slot 1:
Do "Assist Me" in (character slot 2)>Self
    Do "Alt+1">all

In character slot 2 its the same but opposite for the CSlot:
Do "Assist Me" in (character slot 1)>Self
    Do "Alt+1">all

And a few key things to double check.
    1. Ensure after you do the setup, you "save", in ISBoxer, then "Export all to InnerSpace"
    2. Press your character keymap activation key, or swap windows manually a few times.
    3. Ensure your in game keybinds are using the same keybind, and action bar slot.

If you want to test your work first... just use the assist, and remove the dps action... go to character 1, target some random NPC...press your mapped key for "Assist Me"... ALT+TAB to your character 2, and look at what its targeting. It should be the same. Now pick a completely different NPC while on your character 2, and press your "Assist Me" again.. ALT+TAB back to character 1. Should be the new target.

IF! this doesnt work.. then your Assist Me isnt set up correctly.

The only other possible solution could be that you arent using the keymap set of the action you are attempting to use, OR you havent allowed that keymap set to be used by the character you are currently windowed with.

... ok so I just re-read my post here.. makes perfect sense. But I can see that this may get confusing. As Mosg suggested, if at all fails, skype with someone whos got it working may be helpful.

I agree with this. I didn't want to recommend switching any keys though since it could possibly confuse things if you are new and trying to copy someones setup.
But I personally don't use any modifiers either in any of my important keys.

    OK, I got it.

I was using "Alt-T" as my "get target of target" key. I switched that to F6 and now my DPS key works.

So now I can target myself, assist myself, follow myself and kill stuff... I'm getting there! Thanks for all the help guys, and sorry for all the questions

Yeah, it is. Actually took a quest, killed everything and turned it in... this is nice. Reminds me of the days I used to dual-box EQ, but with ISBoxer it's easier

I really appreciate all the help!!

OK, just finished a 3 hour session in-game. Everything working smoothly, but I have two more questions...

1 - Is there a way to make your "follow me" keymap automatically fire when you switch characters?

2 - Is there a way to set group looting to "free for all" or something other than "round robin"?

    1. If you click on your Character Set and then click on a Character Slot, you will see a check box for "When I switch to this character..." and a checkbox for "Do this Mapped Key".
    2. Right-click on your Party Leaders Player Portrait and choose Group, Loot Rule and then Free for all.

    1 - Thanks! I totally missed that!

2 - Hmmm... I tried that, but it wouldn't change. Maybe I was on the player who wasn't the party leader. I'll try it again when I get home later.

    Thanks again!

I am having the same problem as Oldrod. It seems this setup is only for 4 boxing. Trying to get my target me, assist me, and follow working with 2 is confusing the heck out of me. I have downloaded your isboxer file and cannot get any of those macros to work.

Under Sorc 1 target me keybind I have: F2 being sent to my Character 2 slot. On Sorc 2 target me keybind I have: F2 being sent to my Character 1 slot. In game if I press F1 they target themselves. If I press F2 they target the other character. I will try to hit you up on Skype tomorrow when I get home. Also, how the hell can someone find a guild member for an invite? Swtor really pisses me off when it comes to that. I need to find a Legion of Doom member for invite.
