The issue you will run into if you use modifiers is, you kind of need to use modifiers that match up.
If you use alt-T for your assist or alt for your follow, the abilities you are using in conjunction will need to use alt as well or funky things happen. Basically everything gets mashed at once so alt is used on all your keybinds, so if you are DPSing with 1-2-3-4-5 they become alt-1 alt-2 etc.
As App suggests, if you can get away with it, drop any modifiers for your keybinds if at all possible.
CURSE YOU!!!!
Dualboxing was working perfectly. but now that I see the awesome 4boxing vids i bought two more accounts. (hopefully my pc can handle it....)
I don't suffer from Schizophrenia, I enjoy every moment of it !
With my 2-person group, I set F1 as the hotkey for "Target Me". In game, F1 selects yourself anyway, so it's easy to remember.
In ISBoxer, I set that key to send F1 to self and send F2 to all others.
For my "Assist me" key, I set F6 ingame as the "target of my target" hotkey. Then I made F6 the hotkey for my "Assist me" key in ISBoxer (again, to remember it easier). It sends F2 to all others, then F6 to all others.
Played about 6-7 hours total yesterday afternoon and evening and it seems to work fine.
If someone who has a working 2 player setup could maybe link an export of their ISBoxer setup like Mosq2 did that would really help some of us who learn better by example. Particularly the assist, targeting and maybe a couple of dps examples. Also if you could mention what keys you have assigned in your SWTOR preferences that would make it much easier to decode. Thanks ahead of time for anyone that might be able to help out.
I'm by no means as good as Mosg2. Yet, to keep him from feeling a burden to do a two man, I am willing to post mine. I have a (2) man and a (3) man setup... using the same practices that Mosg2 uses. Unless someone beats me to it, I will try to put it together this weekend and have it up by late Sunday.
For now, if you want to search the forums, there "are" threads and posts of people who are doing two, with help for each... Specifically I know ive seen the dual-boxing setup help for "Follow" "Character Swap" Character Mapped keys" and "healing regions" (see below)
Besides, this will give me good experience as a learning tool to see how well I got it from Mosg2.
Post soon

Is there a way to move the popup text location? One thing I noticed last night, when switching characters to start a conversation, the popup text was exactly on top of the "Join Conversation" button and it wouldn't let me click through it (it would just refresh the popup text and make me wait even longer). I had to wait for it to fade before the button underneath became available.
When I have to do any sort of communication interactive, I turn on mouse broadcasting and just watch the other screen where the cursor is to click the Join conversation button. I have to turn it on anyway to for the choice interaction. I do have 5 monitors though so even at 4 boxing I have my clients running at full screen so I can see everything. I even stopped swapping monitors because it was just easier to move to the other monitor. I guess if your playing on a single monitor, or your slaves are to small, or its difficult or impossible to see the cursor location, you could wire up a Video FX screen thing.
I have found a simpler method to do this.
Yes, broadcast mouse, click the screen just below and slightly to the right the slaves portrait... then I made a "CONVO" mapped key for ISBoxer. Its my "[" key. All it does is press the spacebar for all toons at once.
So heres how my convos go.
Primary toon begins convo.
Mouse broadcast ON
click "Start Conversation" from primary toon.
Mouse Broadcast OFF.
spam the "[" key (assuming you want to rush the story).
press the desired action "1" "2" or "3"
spam the "[" key.
repeat that until the story convo is over.
Oh wow, didn't realize there was an icon by the character portrait. That will help a lot.
I am running fullscreen on 2 monitors as well, but haven't played with mouse broadcasting yet (just happy to get *something* playable and working yesterday LOL)
