It comes down to the specious case of being able to do cross realm grouping, which as far as I know requires RealID. Or does the new community system make even that obsolete?
Never was a fan of Real ID.... I call RL friends by their game name IRL. And, yeah, my bnet accounts are separated, so it was my own name showing. (And I just tried setting up SMS Protect.... where they limit you to using one phone per account. Now I apparently need 5 more phones.)
Doing my best to get motivated for the WoW Headless Horseman mount hunt of 2013... so far failing. and now in 2018, let's see about those HH mounts! [Edit: Actually got an HH mount in 2018... on separate account 6. One to go! In 2019, my last BNet accout, the main one, got the HH mount. End of an era.]

If you want to do cross-realm grouping, you simply type /invite charactername-realmname (you don't need to be on anyone's friends list). If you use ISBoxer, it already does this for you assuming you've given it the proper character and realm names.Originally Posted by Brandish
