    Thank you Apps - it's set to off (Default) and execute a step released (default)

    I'm trying to replicate Merc's setup, so I guess it's the second type, one keymap, mutiple keys pressed at the same time.

    The mapped key I mention as an example is being called by my dps bind (as per OPs example of the corrosive dart)

    There's this expression in the OP "Open that keymap up, click on steps and add another step. " which makes me assume we have two steps on that keymap that do exactly the same (since we already created one while setting up the keys too). There might be a problem with my understanding here but even so, I tried to do the same with only one step and it didn't work either

    Cheers,
    A.

    K i would first start by changing that and then change the pull down menu just below it to "Pressed or Released". So that when you do step one, its press.. and when you release the key, it does step two.

    in step one, you want to be sure your actions.. (because there are multiple actions here) that youre sending them all to the appropriate window.

    (I dont use ATG's anymore since its easier to just make a keyset for a particular window given Im running dissimilar classes.)

    Anyway, you also want to make sure you have the “do not pass” checkboxs clicked. As per this note.

    If it were me, I wouldn’t use the ATG, and instead use the Character Slot X as the target window… .but that’s only if you are using dissimilar classes. If all the classes are the same, then you really don’t even need the ATG at all. You can just use “Window all w/o Current” or “Window all w/current”

    Did all the changes, still not working :/

    I have the feeling that I'm missing something really basic here...

    Ok, so I decided to make a crash test and the problem is within the affliction key map itself.

    Here's what I did:

    I created a new mapped key;
    Hotkey XPRO-35
    Hold any Keystroke... Off
    Execute a step when... pressed or released

    Advanced - leave as default

    Created Step 1:
    Keystroke action -> 4 (my affliction bind) -> self
    Do not advance to the next step -> Checked
    ...for at least -> Checked
    21s
    and only trigger once -> Unchecked

    Created Step 2:
    Keystroke action -> 4 (my affliction bind) -> self
    Do not advance to the next step -> Checked
    ...for at least -> Checked
    21s
    and only trigger once -> Unchecked

    So the goal here is to go to the client of one of my Sorcerers and do it all from there (that's why I'm using self and binded a Hotkey).

    It keeps spamming Affliction... Should it? Guess it should as it is doing it, so mustbe doing something wrong why and sure don't want it ^^

    ok, so is the XPRO-35 a mouse button or something? based upon what you typed, when you press your hotkey "XPRO-35" once...your toons should press the 4 key once, and then as soon as you release the key, it will press 4 again... then 21 seconds later another 4.

    Try this. lets make a little test of something simple, and then you can apply what you see here to what you want your game to do. Lets make a NEW mapped key. Make your hotkey something you arent using in game.. but a standard key with no combo... like the "Home" key.

    hotkey is "Home"
    Hold keystroke is "off"
    choose "Pressed or Released"

    Do New keystroke action
    step one
    -action
    do new mapped key action
    4-> self
    (set do not advance to 1.5)
    do new mapped key action (right click on the word "action" just above the key you just did)
    5->self (this is just a test to see if the key action is working... i dont know what you have on "5" so lets just assume its a buff or something)
    (set do not advance to 1.5)

    Step two
    -action
    do new mapped key action
    TAB-> self
    do new mapped key action
    X-> Self

    Save and export.
    click on a target (something you can kill solo)
    and press your Home key.

    what should happen is... you should cast affliction, then your action (whatever is on 5)
    and then immediately target the next closest hostel and sit down.

    Once you confirm this works, you should be able to eliminate variables as to why your DPS key you made from mercbeast isnt working.. make sense?

    The X-PRO35 is from a X-KEYS Keyboard.

    I even did something simpler (targeting an alt in duel):

    Hotkey 4 (X-PRO35 worked too)
    Hold any Keystroke... Off
    Execute a step when... pressed or released

    Advanced - leave as default

    Created Step 1:
    Keystroke action -> 4 (my affliction bind) -> self
    Do not advance to the next step -> Unchecked
    ...for at least -> Unchecked
    default value
    and only trigger once -> Unchecked

    Created Step 2:
    Keystroke action -> 0 (buff) -> self
    Do not advance to the next step -> Checked
    ...for at least -> Checked
    21s
    and only trigger once -> Unchecked

    And it worked. I spammed buff whenever it was ready and casted Affliction every 21s.

    Which makes sense, leaving it free to proceed to next step (buff) and only lock on it and then going to step 1 again after the lock.

    Now, why won't it work having two steps of Affliction both with 21s lock?
