Question 8GB modules with Noctua NH-D14?

    Need advice!
So I upgraded my system a few weeks back, but had to come to the conclusion that I couldn't fit my old Corsair Dominator ram 4x2GB under the Noctua cooler on my new Asus P8Z68 board, so atm I'm using the stock cooler.

So I'm thinking of getting smaller ( physical ) RAM modules, but with the 8gb pr module, I've looked around a bit and found the Corsair Vengeance but these are also to big to fit, and apperently there isn't made a low profile version of these yet.

I also found these G. Skill Ripjaws X which apperently should fit?

Is anyone with the Noctua ( or another hugh CPU cooler taking up alot of space ) using 8gb modules?

And is it really worth it or should I just go buy some smaller 4gb modules ( that will definitely fit), though the thought of having 32GB ram makes me giggle abit

This would add up to 8GB(2x4GB), I was looking for 8GB modules that would still be lowprofile, but I'm trying to get some local stores to get me http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=423 atm

Right, sorry. I replied while in a BG. I don't know of any 8GB low profile modules.

I use that cooler, with both fans, on that board, with corsair vengeance low profile memory chips.

    2x8: http://www.corsair.com/vengeance-low-profile-blue-16gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cml16gx3m4a1600c9b.html

The kit you linked to is 4x4, if these are in a 2x8, that would be awesome!

Looks like you're right, I am using the 4x4 kit that is linked (just checked) and it is not 2x8.

Seems like noone is willing to ship to Denmark O_O, so I guess i'll just have to mod my old RAM sticks untill the 8GB ones get to Denmark

Okay so i finally got the RAM and setup my ramdisk and I've tried using crystalmark on it and this is what it came up with:

I did have wow open and only 1.5gb free on the ramdisk, not sure if this effects the test? It might?

    Anyways my question is:
Am I lowering the performance by only having the Data folder on the ramdisk and having rest on my SSD and just use symblink/junction?

EDIT: Also I've never run WoW this smooth, im on Outland EU which is way overpopulated, and I have zero lag in SW now, no stuttering or nothing.
