240GT vs GTX 550 Ti

So the 550 for $155 is a waste? I bought the 240 when they came out. Just felt like it was time for upgrade

I'll get the i7 tomorrow then.

Definitely not a waste, but CPU would give a bigger immediate performance boost, allowing more multitasking and other activities.

You're using ISBoxer... just stack the windows on top of each other and you should be fine unless you're using
FRAPS's DWM recording feature.

Nope, on extra software minus decursive addon. My window layout is 5 small client windows at the very top of the screen and one large (main window) covering the rest of the screen. I'll take a picture when I get home tonight. You think I can improve the fps in a major city if I stack the windows?

If your resolutions are matching and instant swap is turned on it shouldn't affect anything except giving you
more screen real estate for your active window.

Really the only qualm was the i3/240GT for boxing. That's been remedied, so the point is moot.

That is a correct assumption. The new PNY GTX 550 Ti is installed and running, along side the 240. I have the slaves operating on the number two crappy Mc Crapalot monitor... and the main client on the main screen. As suggested, being in a major city ~8:00pm server time showed no significant impact. The i7 should be here today. This is the one I got...
