what do you use it for is the question

solo, other PC games ? it is not for boxing yet. and have you tried the 3D vision stuff. Obviously it is not worth it if you haven't tried it.

personally, I hate it. I don't know. I always felt dizzy looking through those 3d glasses.

120hz monitors usually come in with smaller size too.

I say if you got cash to burn, go for eyefinity or nvidia vision surround.

Besides the 3D stuff I'm not entirely sure what people would want it for. I've read on another hardware forum
that you can turn off VSync with 120Hz monitors and experience no screen tearing (if you even experience it at
all in the first place). Is that a selling point for me? Negative.

There was another 120Hz monitor thread here a few months ago but the OP never finished off the thread.

EDIT: Here's the other, most recent, thread about these even though it really gives no useful insight.

    Cept for 3D I can't see any advantage in having a 120fps monitor displaying 60fps .......

Not worth the money unless you are dead set on having 3D.
I'm fairly sure your eyes even notice that much of a difference with anything higher than 60hz anyways.
If you are serious about it, go into a Best Buy or other electronics store and look and see for yourself. Personally I think its a sales gimmick/scam if someone tries to convince me to buy one when I have not intention of using the 3d.
