Default Interesting turn of events. . .

The uneasy armistice between the Horde and Alliance is steadily cracking beneath the strain of Deathwing's devastating return and the Shattering of Azeroth, heralding a new era of bloody conflict.
The clash between the factions has also never been so hotly contested: Battleground brackets now match up teams more evenly. The new brackets span five levels each, except the final bracket composed of level 85 players:
    10-14 30-34 50-54 70-74
    15-19 35-39 55-59 75-79
    20-24 40-44 60-64 80-84
    25-29 45-49 65-69 85
Fighters can also join the battle in Arathi Basin, Eye of the Storm, and Alterac Valley at an earlier level than ever before:
Level 10 - Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch
Level 35 - Eye of the Storm
    Level 45 - Alterac Valley
Level 65 - Strand of the Ancients
Level 75 - Isle of Conquest
Level 85 - Battle for Gilneas and Twin Peaks
These changes should offer players a more consistently competitive experience in the Battlegrounds as their characters level, as well as provide for more exciting PvP conflict than ever before. Are you eager to try 35-39 Eye of the Storm? How about 45-49 Alterac Valley? Perhaps you'd like to cut your teeth on a 10-14 Arathi Basin.

I think that should have been done years ago.

I love how this effectively kills twinking by not upgrading.

No more 70s raping face in 61-70 AV. Now they get to die in 70-74.

It also gives you more "breaks" in leveling...I usually take a break from questing at the top tier of a level bracket and PvP a bit. Now you can do that twice per bracket.

OMFG. I'm baffled really. How hard can it be to change something like that. And finally after nothing more then 5 years they finally realise maybe it might possibly could have been better then the old system.

Can't really give them kudo's for finally changing that.

Arathi Basin without mounts... too much walking. I'll definitely be sticking to WSG only between levels 10 - 19.
Can't remember the old days when your first mount was level 40, people walked around in it back then. Oh,
    how the times have changed.

The main reason why I see this happening only 'now' is because of the battlegroup merges we saw lately. The pool of players is way bigger now and thus it's easier to refine the brackets.

exactly. had they done that in the past you would have been queueing for days before you got a game in your (smaller) bracket.

All in all, a good change i think, I won't have to wait to be last 4 levels of a bracket to join it without feeling completely owned/useless.

is that already in place? or is it in the upcoming patch?

Queuing as a boxer, in the x3-x4 and x8-x9 brackets should be nice.
A change of pace from instances or questing.
And near the top of the bracket twice in ten levels, will be nice.

Maybe in the dead brackets, they could've been dead. But when TBC hit 60-64 and 65-69 would've made perfectly sense to me. Esepcially because you're able to queue at 61 and not be a target dummy.
