Default Response to a gold seller

Had a gold seller send me a tell today.

One of those who say, hello do you have a minute.
Then ask if you have an epic flyer.
And then want to know if you want some gold to get one.

The guy says he has 105k in stock.
So I told him, "You're doing it wrong, you should multibox... I've got a lot more than that."

So now we'll know where to point the finger when we start seeing groups of bots running around and teleport hacking around Azeroth. On a side note, I wonder if gold sellers know that their days are numbered now that gold is so easy to come by.

You underestimate the amount of lazy people and the amount of stupid/unaware people. And as long as the playerbase attaches social value to certain vanity items in the game, the majority will never have enough gold.

Assuming one does not have moral objections to breaking the rules, and can spend 25-50$ and get enough gold in 2 minutes to buy what he wants compared to either having to farm his nuts off taking him months or spending hours on figuring out profession manual / gold blogs / learning addons, ... I can understand that they go for the easy way.

The reason why I don't buy gold is not because a blizzard rule tells me I'm not allowed to do so or that it's wrong, but it's because:
    - i fear the repercussions on my accounts when i'd do so
    - i enjoy playing the economy in games, making me having more than enough gold
    - i don't trust those gold selling companies whatsoever
    - it's my opinion that it affects the economy ingame and thus the gameplay to the negative
Everything that is fun in life is either bad for your health, immoral or illegal!

I knew a guy who has since quit the game.
For a two year period, he bought around $100 of gold per paycheck.

There are plenty of gold sinks in the game, in you want to spend gold.

The problem with buying is that the majority of Gold sellers are also gold thieves(account thieves), which is how they can afford to sell it so cheaply.

If you buy gold from a stolen account and the account holder puts a ticket in that their account has been stolen, Blizzard can track who received the stolen property, and ban your account.

I never seem to have enough gold, but I don't do 25 dailies every day. I just don't have that much time to play and when I have time to play, other things are more fun to me.

    - "Hello Zub, do you have a minute?"
    - "Yeah, yeah you want to pretend we're friends and then you'll try and sell me gold. But really would i BUY gold from my FRIENDS? Really? No. my friends would LEND me gold, gladly. Now, do you still want to pretend we're friends?"

When I played on the EU side the top guilds on our server had paypal links on their sites. They expected members to contribute so they could buy gold for the tanks repair bills and for consumables, lol. Different attitude about it, I guess. I'm glad we were always a shade below 'top guild' status. Our tanks farmed their own stinkin' gold!
