Ughmahedhurtz, All the AMD/ATI examples I have seen assumes you have at least one monitor with DisplayPort input and is compatible with DP-signals. Most monitors however only use DVI/HDMI/VGA standard and cant input DP-signals, this is why an active adapter is needed to convert the DP-signals into something the monitor understands.
Also, the cards feature 3x HDMI/DVI outputs, but two of these are shared and cant be used at the same time. For 3x display EyeFinity mode is then only possible by using 2x DVI/HDMI and 1x DP, a simple DP-cable/converter works if you have one monitor that supports DP. If your monitor does not support DP (few does) then you can still use that monitor but with an active adapter.
EyeFinity is confusing![]()
