Announce: GameCommanderPro Version 1.2

Since launching GCP last month we've been fairly quiet. We've been working a new version of GCP based on the experiences of our users.

Whats New In GCP

• A completly new setup form. Getting started with GCP is now very easy.
  
• Support for complex installations and networking. You can mix and match any combination of computers, disks and folders - and it's all configured through our simple setup.
  
• Fast window swapping. You can now switch windows, leader and group target instantly (well almost!). And we do it in a way which doesn't conflict with the TOS.
  
• Multiple independent cast sequences for one key heals / dps etc.
  
• Variable length gaps in spell rotations. Gives more control over how many steps are generated.
  
• GCP now runs under Windows 7
  
• The GCP in game mod is now more compatible with Jamba
  
• Custom game settings per character - GCP can manage the settings (video, sound etc) for each character - helps if you want to run from one game folder.
  
• A number of small changes to make GCP a better program. Many of these came from user sugestions.

Whats New With Us

• A live support system. This includes live chat and remote support. Often the quickest way to solve issues - of course, we still continuously monitor our support forums.
  
• Videos - following a number of requests we've added videos to our site. Only a few for now, but watch for more.

What we got right:

• GameCommanderPro functionality. - Our users report that, once they get "into" GCP that they'll never use anything else.
• Support - We stand behind our product. Our customers constantly tell us that they are surprised by how quickly we get back to them, and more importantly, how quickly we fix any issues.

What we got wrong:

• Setup - Many people had difficulty getting started with GCP.
• Support for multiple installation folders - the procedure was complex and people found it difficult to get working.
• Support for networking - we always had this, but did not release it initially.

I randomly ran into these guys on a different server than my main one, and from what I can see it looks like pretty decent stuff. Haven't had time to look through their website yet, but as long as its not a hack attempt I'm pretty sure it's pretty good stuff. (don't know if its not a hack attempt yet)

They've got their own key and mouse broadcasting software, and even made their own addons for the whole interface, from what the person i met in game told me.

Anyway, could an authoritative person, or zanthor, or someone like that, take a look at this?

Well, I'm a keycloner at heart but this does seem like some really good software.
Perhaps if you guys threw in a 10-day free trial license I'd be tempted to give it a go.

We actually do!

If you look at the last line of the OP, you'll see that you just need to create a user on our site and check the "request trial" box. (we need your e-mail address to send the key, hence the need to register)

I have been using there GCP for just over 3 weeks now, and just love it.

They have helped with all my problems including ones I should have been able to fix as it is my PC

They take great pride in fixing any real issues you may have with your particular setup.

There info presented on their web-site to help with using and understanding continues to grow.

Remember we all have different play styles and computer skill levels and multi-boxing skills. These guys don't seem to miss a beat when it comes to this things. I'm 53 yrs old and it is hard to impress me, especially from the service industry, but they continue to do it.

Just a quick update since this thread started.

We're just about to release version 1.2.0.10. Some of the key changes:

We've improved our mouse broadcasting mode. It's now more reliable (sometimes it used to miss the odd click). It also displays a mouse position indicator on the alts, when in mouse broadcast mode, for more accurate clicking.

We've added a high speed window swap feature.

We've added a window switching wizard to allow easy setup of the swap feature.

We've included a customer requested change to allow the exit keys for our 3 broadcast modes to be customized. This means changing from game mode to chat and back is automatic.

Another customer requested feature is to allow the "special keys" to be defined. GCP applies special handling for the "QWEASD" keys to simplify team movement. This change allows other keys to be used (e.g. "WERSDF").

Our German customers were having trouble because we didn't pass shifted keys in pass through modes and they couldn't type "/". This has been changed. All modifiers are now passed through.

A number of other small changes and bug fixes.

would be nice if the trial version was usable though. It asks for a key when you start the program after instalation and I dont see anywehre in here or on their site for getting that code.
