I'm surprised anyone is PvP mode here. I've had it off since prepatch.
Too bad really. They should have done it based on concurrent accounts instead of the hamfisted way it was done. No idea why a dual boxer gets punished the same way a 20 boxer does.
I've been trying to think of a workaround to it, and there isn't a clean solution, your method definitely does slow it down though. I don't think there were that many 20+ boxers though, but if they wanted to be disruptive they could be. Especially being able to report someone and have them get the boot temporarily.

This way people can play however they want without impeding the gameplay of others. If I want to play WoW all by myself and have the funds to do that then why not allow it? Just have the tech set up to allow it.
The way they are doing it now is unfair to people who dual box. That and these hard restrictions on party play are another problem. I understand how content design works but flex parties need to be a reality already. Hard locking content to solo / 3 / 5 characters is a problem that's long overdue for a correction. The easy solution is to have a baked in scaling system that flips health, damage and mechanics at certain intervals. For everything even open world questing.
Far as i recall, you only get 1 vote per battlenet account though. I suppose you could have a ton of individual ones if you really wanted (but max 3 of them can have battlenet balance on them apparently).
Anyone else having any success with wpvp?
Honestly, I'm seeing very little of WPVP in warmode. Only had a few encounters and my pallies (1 prot 4x ret) are performing decently well.
An anecdote would be when I had a group of 7 people from the same guild jump me while gathering. Got 3 of them before I dropped. They stuck around so I ressed on them and wiped them. :) Then a seemingly immortal resto Druid rocked up. Could not get him below 90% in a full stun... Healers seem a bit over tuned currently.
I've been hitting world PVP very hard with my groups. I play exclusively with it on. I came from a PVE server (before war mode) and never considered playing on a PVP server. Now, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Both my groups are melee so the loss of follow - all be it briefly - is not too bad. In a pinch I use PVE mobs to semi-navigate when follow won't work.
On the whole, its not really been a problem for me.

I have a menu button I call IWT. This is a Internet With Target type toggle. When off (not red) your characters don't run wild. With it on, they go all over the place. This is best for PVP because it damn hard to focus on a single target with it moving all over the place.
19:20 the first PVP fight starts - poor guy was dead before he realised he was being attacked.
20:36 more PVP
22:30 you see me turn OFF my PVP IWT toggle.
24:55 the last poor soul to die.
