I didnt mean a low count was anyhting bad. Hell ive been hanging around this board for over a year and dont have that many. I really was attempting to suggest that by restricting new users in some way as to keep them seperated from the angrier sort of people on the board. Yes its annoying answering the same stuff over and over but that doesnt give anyone an excuse to get mean about it. Blocking the newer users from posting(only) in those areas keeps the a**hole/newb/mean comments to the new users down to a minimum. Then any of the people that choose to help the new members can go and post their help to them in their own section. Didnt mean to start an arguement.

1) If you post in the newbie forum, I will either happily help you, or ignore you alltogether. I will NOT harrass people there. Off limits.
2 If you post in the general forum with some overly vague unanswerable question, I'm probably going to hammer you. (ex: zomg what group do I choose to make the sky rain epix?!)
3) If you post something, and there is at least a minor indication that you've at least tired to help yourself, I'll probably go out of my way to help you out, and possibly crit you with a wall of text trying to give you the answers you so badly desire. (ex: oddball group synergies or instance tactics or something...)

QFT -- Fursphere, this was also my mentality until I somehow stumbled into mod-ness and then this happened...

2 If you post in the general forum with some overly vague unanswerable question, I'm going to point out the Community Guidelines that say the general forum is NOT FOR SUPPORT then move your sorry thread into the newbie forums where it belongs. I typically will be less inclined to help this person, since they cannot be bothered to help themselves. Cross-linking wiki's/guides is probably the most they can expect out of me until behavior improves.

Actually, on second thought -- can I ask that the community do me and the other mods a favor?

Make avid use of the "report" feature. If you see a newbie who put their post in the wrong place -- maybe the Software forum, or the General forum -- can you report the thread so it can easily be identified and moved? I hate moving threads where there is an active discussion just because I didn't catch it in time. Using the report feature will help me move it before too many people are jumping in.

Ok here is a different suggestion for the forums, When I first started to dual box the forums were not as happening as they are now (as lots of posts a day) and it just seamed easer to find stuff. Also the community has taken off like a rocket new user all the time and more new posts.

With that said I have noticed the cluttering of Software tools section with Keyclone support requests or questions about help, and this is rightfully so with the vast majority of software boxers using this product that Rob puts out. I would like to suggest that we create a new forum area for Keyclone support. This will do 2 things

1. Allow for the clean up of the Software Tools area so that you can find and communicate about all versions of software that is out there that will help multi boxing. As of right now it is very hard to get an idea of what is out there with that forum section basically being Keyclose support

2. will help the uses of Keyclone to go to one are for support since this seems to be the official support site for this product. This will also help with the improvement of searching for issues you might be having in Keyclone.

Software forum = Keyclone support forum.

I will tend to agree with you but IMO all of the other solutions get barred in there thus we get all the topics "Want FREE ..." "What else is there?" type posts all the time because there is just so much "I need support for keyclone", "Keyclone is broken" ..... I just feel for new people this is very overwhelming and Keyclone support deserves it's owne area or just move keyclone support off the forums.

Well hug me after I'm done manually seperating the "review" posts from the "support" posts and filing them into their correct subcategories. I've got 22 pages of posts left to go. Then I hit the hardware section. >.<

I don't think revoking posting privileges for noobs is the way to go. Honestly, if you can't take a little ribbing by our "RTFM, n00b" crowd here, you will HATE people calling you a cheater/botter/lamer/etc. in game.

I tend to side with the RTFM crowd because I all too often see posts going, "Hey, there's too much information here for me to read, can u halp me prz?" That just indicates that you're simply lazy and want us to wave a wand and make you successful. I wish I could do that in my investment forums. :P
