    Default Mobo or processor?

Ok about to buy a new computer.. gonna have it built cause i just don't feel like doing it myself .. that being said..

I'm kind of fixated on the eVGA intel boards and wonder if they are worth getting? the price is a little higher so I would have to get a slightly cheaper processor...

So the question is what should i focus on processor or mobo?

My thoughts is mobo since if i get a good mobo i can alway upgrade later....

    thanks for any input

I have to say that the eVGA mobos are quite awesome. They are very stable & great for tweaking/overclocking. I recommend the 680i or 780i boards dependant upon the processor you'll be using. Upgradability is great in either boards, however the 780i board has PCI-e 2.0 gfx ports. Unless you want to waste the money on DDR3 RAM (which I find to be unnecessary yet, esp for WoW), then the 790i board isn't worth it. DDR2 RAM is fairly priced & quite effective. The 800MHz 4-4-4-12 or 1066MHz 5-5-5-15 DDR2 RAM does quite well. I recommend 4+ GB of ram & at least a 512MB video card (eVGA 8800 GTS 512MB has great price/performance) I could go into more detail, but since I believe I've answered your question, I'll leave it at that. Feel free to pm me for more details.

For CPU you be better off with more cores, then more speed. A popular choice is the Q6600 quad core. You could also go for one of the newer Q9xx0 quad cores.

Q6600 is a fantastic WoW multibox CPU. You won't need faster speeds, really.

    Got Q6600, it's perfect.

Make sure you run 4Gb ram (cheap as hell anyway) and a -good- videocard. Not the cheapest model numbers. A videocard with decent core speeds and such, the amount of ram doesn't really say much at all. Altho for multiboxing 512+ is nice I suppose. I'd go GTS minimal though. It's a bit of a preference tho. Many will say a 8800+GT will do the job just fine. I wouldn't buy anything below 8800 at this point anymore.
