Default Any advice for a beginner on dungeons?

    Hi,

I just started multiboxing with 5x Druids. Is there a relatively up-to-date basics guide for dungeons? What add-ons do you recommend? Any advice on writing macros?

Also, I'm using ISBoxer so any tips there would be appreciated as well. I've gone through MiRai's tutorial videos for ISBoxer 42 so I have looting and AoE stuff down.

    Thanks.

    Should be in https://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/1...rs-amp-Support

I'm sure there are some stickies in there, probably referencing some of MiRai's intro to ISBoxer videos.
    Now playing: WoW (Garona)

    1) start with low levels, even if you have max level toons you ultimately want to play.
    2) macro in at least some of your healing so it is automatic (@focus macros are great for this) - I did an article about "lazy healing" with druids in 2014, although many of the spells and specifics have changed, it gives you a framework for thinking about how to think about automatic healing https://www.dual-boxing.com/entries/...-Healing-Druid
    3) You'll develop your system over time, I'd say that I wouldn't step into dungeons without keys for: single targetdps, round robin interrupt/stun, multiple target dps, tankneedshealing (this should be a multi step macro working with both the tank and the healers cooldowns and single target heals), rez macros
    4) remember you can always pull stuff back. As a normal tank you have to worry about dps charging off and pulling shit in bad places, as a multiboxer you can take your time and fight things where you want to fight them without losing aggro
    5) Healer party healing video feed Clique: you need at minimum a way to "flash heal" through clique and also the tank should be able to clique taunt.
    6) Dont' spend too much time trying to force a non-triad composition to work (say 5 boomkins... or in my case, 4 boomkins just because "they can heal and have lots of armor this should be easy")
    7) run a dps meter, you will notice quickly if a character isn't getting their hits in because you left them in the other room or their chat bar is open or some other problem
    8) interrupt casters, even if they don't seem "that bad". You need those reflexes later, its just good best practices to build those habits early. Focus down casters almost always.
    9) Maximize tank rotations for damage reduction, not dps (this frees your healer up to do some light dpsing on autopilot so you aren't having to reactively heal as much)
    10) keybind a couple of raid markers and use them to keep straight what you are doing for yourself

    Dungeon specific:
SFK- keep moving on the drops bad shit boss (moving out of stuff, another skill you need to be building) and for the love of god fight the final shooty boss on the ground so it is easier to get out of the major attack cone

WC: jump each toon individually over the chasm, and keep the rest of the toons away from the crack so a badly timed autofollow doesn't ruin your day

Deadmines/Scarlet Monestary: each have trash areas with AOE that turn off when you kill something on the path... its ok to take minimal toons through that gauntlet and kill things slower just to turn it off (same for one of the MOP dungeons, actually)

Stratholme is ridiculously frustrating trash wise, even if you've been boxing for years. Pull carefully or skip it entirely.

BRD - the first boss fears... clear out all the side cells in the hallway on the way to her

Sethekk - careful of trash with instant cast group fears

I'd also skip the isle of queldanas BC dungeon on your first team up, too much can go wrong and the run back in is annoying.
