Default New to this, Few problems with Shadow priest dual boxing

    Hello,

i am wondering if anyone has encountered problems with shadow priests whilst dual boxing, mine seem to not follow after mind flaying is their a way i can deal with this?

i have just finished leveling duo hunters to 80 and that was a blast, this has also made me want to subscribe to ISboxer once my free trial expires tomorrow and this seems to be the only issue i have had.

any help / tips / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

P.s my plan is to level 2 more horde hunters / 2 horde warlocks / these 2 priests before my raf comes to an end so any tips on these will help aswell

When you channel mind flay, it breaks follow because the priest will rotate to follow the target. You have to press your follow macro again after the cast is finished. The same goes for mind sear I'm pretty sure.

You can also try using Jamba and enabling autofollow after combat.

Any channel spell, or initiating melee combat (where the toon actually swings their weapon) will break auto follow.

As mentioned, you can use Jamba and set it to Strobe.
Either all the time, or after combat has ended.

I personally don't like Strobe, and opt for binding Follow to a mouse thumb button... which is easy to push, and after a session of play became rather automatic, not a hassle at all.

I have IWT on Shift+1 and Follow on Middle mouse click. Most of the time I position myself and toons where they dont have to IWT. That keeps the strays away. If your character is to far away to follow, Use IWT(interact with target) and they will run towards your target. It could be a dead mob right in front of your toon, or an NPC. IWT has a longer range than /follow does.

Getting used to movement is the biggest and hardest thing of boxing. You should practice dumping your extra toons in combat anyways. Later on when you want to do more you will likely run 4 or 5 toons to do instances/old content. Fear will bust your kehonies, and if your main toon gets feared....guess who is going to /follow you in fear as well...

My advice is to stay away from auto following in jamba. You need to get used to playing your toons in raid environments. I.E. spreading out and grouping up. Two boxing is easy as you can see both screens in full on dual monitors, but you still need to be proficient in movement. You cant always run away from danger/The government.
