Hey,

And hello to boxing community ; I'm ekko ! I've just started to learn how to multibox and I'm wondering if you could be so kind as to help me out with a few things.

I'm levelling 5 goblin shamans using ISBOXER and so far no other program apart from the in-game addon.

I plan to level by quests and dungeons, here's my first issue:

Gathering quests: I've met my first one in the goblin starting area (collecting crates), it seems like pain the bum to have to individually collect on each toon. Are these kind of quests avoidable in the future ; are there any addons to streamline to levelling process, so you can avoid them?

My second issue, it I'd like my SLAVES to cast for example LIGHTNING BOLT at the SAME TARGET as my MASTER is attacking. I've tried using various options in the FTL keymap sections on the out of game Inner Space software menu, but so far to no avail. I've previously made assist macro's in-game but I believe with this program it isn't neccessary.

When handing in quests or picking them up, I usually have to press the combination off Shift+ctrl+delete, to broadcast
too all my toons then watch the cursor hover over the NPC and then click, problem is my camera angle is different on each toon and it means I have to take time to make sure each NPC is clicked on by the relevant toon. I'm sure also that the combination of shift+ctrl+delete is the wrong way to hand-in and pick-up quests. I know there's an interact with target Key map but I'm not sure how to use it. Would you have to make sure all toons got the correct target first? And, how would you do this?

I've read a couple of guides, but I'm not too savy with most of this stuff. If anyone could shed some light, I'd be much oblidged.

With how Blizzard is setting up quests, it is pretty hard to avoid gathering quests without leaving yourself high and dry without quests to do. I know that you can get through Outland and possibly Northrend without doing gathering quests, but for the rest you may have to just tough them out.

I've tried using various options in the FTL keymap sections on the out of game Inner Space software menu, but so far to no avail. I've previously made assist macro's in-game but I believe with this program it isn't neccessary.

I prefer to do all of that stuff in game rather than rely on the software to do it for me. I personally use a focus based setup to achieve my goals. My macros look something like:

/cast [target=focustarget] Lightning Bolt

You will need to set whichever toon you are leading with as your focus for this to work.

You will have to set a key bind in game to set Interact with Target. Then you'll need to make sure you have that key in your keymap. If you enable click to move, your characters will run to the target you use the interact function with. As far as lining up your windows, you can also set keybinds in game for camera angles.

Yeah they suck, but most you HAVE to do in order to open up the remaining quests in the chain. Pass on all collection quests that you can, but you may have to go back and do some if you to level up before leaving an area.

Using IsBoxer's FTL setup helps, you just switch to another slave when one has it completed, or use the IWT key.

Right out of the box IsBoxer should be doing this. You should have no need for macros to do this.

You need to install the Jamba addon. That takes care of what IsBoxer cant.

All I do is select the quest NPC, hit my IWT keybind, then accept or turn in the quest as normal, and all slaves copy the master.

Not really. It's just one of the things we have to deal with. the way the quests are set up now, you don't really have much choice with what you can and can't do. Luckily the XP boost that lower level zones have gotten over time means you don't really have to do every quest in a zone before you're ready for the next zone. If they are easy, like "get 4 boxes of junk off the ground" I usually have no problem just toughing it out. It's the ones that require you to kill mobs to get a drop that drive me crazy, cuz I always seem to run out of mobs. Especially if they aren't a 100% drop.

With ISBoxer, it should be built in. I'm guessing something is off in your config. You'll probably need to share your configuration so people can see how you are set up. Other people, not me, cuz I know nothing about ISBoxer

I couldn't tell you how to set up the actual keymaps in ISBoxer, but you want Interact with Target and Click to move enabled. You will also probably want to set up Jamba so you can automatically mirror your master's actions on your slaves instead of passing your mouse broadcasting. You do not need to use any in-game macros to get auto-assist working as it is built into ISBoxer for WoW. Focus, specifically, is much better used for other purposes (CC is one example).

By default the keys 1 through = have auto-assist included, see WoW Quick Start Guide. So, if you put lightning bolt in your first action bar slot on all your slaves, then when you press "1" all the slaves will assist the master and cast lightning bolt. If you wish to obtain auto-assist on other keys the easiest way is to use the ISBoxer Mapped Key Wizard and create an "Assist and Broadcast" Mapped Key in FTL DPS Keys.

Thanks for the replies


I must of changed some setting before due to the Lightning bolt not being broadcast across all toons.
Due to the many different accounts I had, I had to restore the Default in-game Key Bindings for each account, so each were the same. I bound the following keys in-game to help with QUESTS as suggested:

Set View 2 ]
Set View 3 [
Interact with Mouseover '
Ineract with Target ;

For some reason now when I press the normal key bindings in-game nothing happens. This includes keys 1-10. Before when I hit "1" on my action bar this would make my toon start casting lightning bold and broadcast to all other toons. Not sure what I've done, but on the main screen when I hit 1 on my keyboard nothing happens aswell as no broadcast. Same with most other commands ; it's like it's being blocked by something.

Thanks, this seems to be working now. However, on my other screens when I cast lightning bolt it says ; "You have no Target", any ideas?

Well, I will just say....the goblin starting area sucks ass. I'm pretty sure you have to do all of the quests there in order to get the racial(summon personal bank). Lots and lots of collection quests. Just finished all the quests with a goblin mage team. Pure hell indeed.
