I started with a clean ISBoxer and saved my wow settings as a save as file.

Under Character sets I named my team just SWTOR since I will be using it for boxing just two characters at one time with only target leader, target of target and follow.

In-game Key Bindings: (I put some of these under Key 2 not Key 1 since I single box a healer with some friends and didn't want to change the main settings.

Target Party Member 1 = F6
Target Self = F7
Acquire Target's Target = `
Follow Target = Alt+F

Under Variable Keystrokes there were already Slot 1 and Slot 2 listed (which I believe is all I need to two box) and I added this:

Target Slot 1 Default Key Combination F6
Target Slot 2 Default Key Combination F6

Under SWTOR>Slots>1 variable keystrokes tab I have:
Target Slot 1 is now F7
Target Slot 2 is now F6
Under SWTOR>Slots>2 variable keystrokes tab I have:
Target Slot 1 is now F6
Target Slot 2 is now F7

Under Key Maps>Non-combat I added in two Mapped Keys:

Target Leader
Advanced
Steps
1: F6-> all other
The above step 1 I added the following actions:
Step
Actions
<Target Slot {SLOT}> -> all other
F6 -> all other

Target of Target
Advanced
Steps
1: 1 -> all
The above step 1 I added the following actions:
Step
Actions
<Target Slot {SLOT}> -> all other
`-> all other
1-> all

Those are the only things I changed. I do not have a hotkey for Target Leader or for Target of Target nor do I have "Hold any keystorke actions while hotkey is held" on. I've tried to have that on and it doesn't work at all then.

Currently everything works (kinda) if I turn on broadcasting. I say that because for follow, when I turn on broadcasting both characters turn and follow each other until I turn it off again and start moving. Then the lead character of course is followed by the second. I have to turn on broadcasting again after I select a target then hit ` and the corresponding key I want them to attack with. I keep broadcasting on throughout the fight though this leads to obvious ill desired effects when the second character runs off as I run the first character to a new mob as follow won't work with broadcasting on. So this of course, isn't ideal, but workable. I just started the team yesterday and got them to level 12 in a few hours.

All help is very appreciated.

Thanks,

Mal

EDIT: I do have the box checked that says "Make game believe it is the foreground window".

Several critical failures here…

Bluntly, whatever setup you’re trying to copy, is a weak one.

  1. If you use in game TPM1 (Target Party Member 1) as F6, but then have your variable keystrokes at slot one to F7 then F6, AND AT THE SAME TIME, set slot two to the opposite for a two man setup…eh, they aren’t going to do crap but just sit there and stare blankly.
  1. Unless you are doing something rather funky, there isn’t a need to use a specific key for Target self other than the one already in game… F1
  1. Don’t use Non-combat keys for SWToR
  1. I highly advise against using key combos (ALT+F for example) for any of your 3 main scripts… “Follow Me”; “Assist Me”; “Target Me”

You will need to juggle around your F-keys to get it working correctly, but its not hard.

Oh, and not using a “Control” system will be a lot more difficult. I will concede that some players think this method is a bit funky, however its very “logical” meaning “input this”>”send to this”

Anyway, Mosg2 did a very VERY nice setup for 4 people. I followed that up with a 2 player rendition of his manifesto.

Two man setups are easy. Don’t over think it. If you are playing Toon A. Then group with Toon B. Toon B is your TPM1. Easy right? Well, if you play Toon B, and then group with Toon A. From the perspective of Toon B… Toon A is HIS TPM1. So the setups are identical, the only difference is your assist, target, and follow all point to the other character slot.

Also, don’t use the “all other” when doing a 2 man setup.

Do this….
Read Mosg2’s and Apps setup instructions….
---In SWTOR---
Set both IN GAME keybinds to the exact same thing;
Follow = `
Target Party Member 1 = F6
Acquire Targets Target = F7

---In ISBoxer---
Make key map rename it “O Control”
Make key map rename it (your first toons name)

---In “O Control”---
New key map “Activate (your first toons name)”
Add your hotkey here
One step, one action… make toon one “On”; toon two “Off”; O control “On”
^Copy the above mapped key, Paste it in the O Control, edit the second one to be the opposite settings, and rename it as “Activate (your second toons name)” Give it, its own hotkey.
^Copy again, and paste it in the O Control, edit it the third one to be all set to “OFF” Rename it as “All keys off” Give it its own hotkey.

You can add a mouse repeater too if you like. I did.

---In (your first toons name)---
Make the Follow Me; Assist Me; Target Me.. use character slots instead of “all others”
Create DPS keys that use the Assist Me, send it to the other character slot, and then press your dps key.. like the number “1”
^ Copy and repeat to finish your dps keys.

When your done, copy that entire key map (your first toons name), and paste it in the Key Maps, and rename it as (your second toons name)
Simply invert all the character slots for your mapped keys. (I.e. what was going to slot 2, should now go to slot 1)

Double check your Character Set so that you have the “O control”; “(your first toons name)”; “(your second toons name)”.
Set a hot key for your window swap, and use the same keys you chose for your activate key maps.

Save all.

Export to Inner Space.

Close all windows, open ISBoxer, and right click on your character set, and choose “Launch”

Enjoy.
