Hi! I'm back into WoW after almost a year and found out that paladins have changed quite a bit. I seem to find it difficult to 5-box using Paladins. Any advice?Or any other classes?

Paladin are easy - you making sure you get the threat buff enabled? using a level 85 right?
I'm using this macro at the moment
Single Target
/startattack
/tar Chains of Woe
/castsequence reset=5/combat Crusader Strike, Crusader Strike, Word of Glory, Crusader Strike, Crusader Strike, Shield of the Righteous
also pop Crusader Strike in so nothing breaks
AOE Target
/startattack
/tar Chains of Woe
/castsequence reset=5/combat Hammer of the Righteous, Hammer of the Righteous, Word of Glory, Hammer of the Righteous, Hammer of the Righteous, Shield of the Righteous
also pop Hammer of Righteous in so nothing breaks
The I just pop judgement, holy shield, divine protection, avengers shield, trinkets and consecration/holy wrath (aoe only) on cooldown.
I just a key to toggle which macro is enabled and keep spamming that space key![]()

Paladins and Death Knights still seem to be the main choices. Micromanagement with paladin tanks isn't too bad, they can still be used with cast sequences - especially if you use the multistep setups.

Holy Power is pretty predictable so spending it is also predictable enough to stick in a cast sequence. All you really get for extras is Grand Crusader procs, which you can deal with manually or ignore the Holy Power part of.

You can use a mouseover targetstarget macro for the one taunt and just mouseover for the other taunt and have them on cycle
If you were unaware of interact with target and click to move knowledge, definitely check that out.
You can have your toons (or only the slaves, if they're the only ones to receive the hotkey) interact with (ie, move towards and attack) their target.
Master targets, slaves assist, you have the melee use their IWT keybinding.
I've got a set of Pallies, who are Shockadins.
Essentially casters, not melee.
Any casting class will be one less thing to concentrate on than a melee.
Because you can cast at range, and not need to worry about point-blank-mob-aoe's or cleave attacks.
But with IWT/CTM, melee are very viable.
Since you're asking about Tanking, I'll assume PvE is the main goal.
If you drive with your tank, than any class can tank and fairly well.
You can bind the same castsequence (or two step macro) to each of the keys that your tank clicks in the process of tanking.
So if you love a Warrior (who is the most micromanage intensive tanking class), and decide you need to manage nine abilities to play them well as a tank, you could have your DPS all do their same two-step or one-step castsequence on each of those nine keys.
In short, play the tank you enjoy the most.
Multiple Shaman characters are always a favorite.
Because many of the totems will stack, and with several Shaman characters you cover most of the buffs.
They're a fun group to multibox, and are getting buffs on test realm.
I've always loved Druids, initially as Boomkins but lately as Feral.
The Eclipse mechanic sucks to manage as a boxer...
The issues for Ferals would be similar to Paladins, in that you need to be in melee.
Feral Cats are relatively simple to macro, if you want to use Mangle... but much harder if you want Shred attacks, which require being in the rear arc.
A team of Druids could be (for PvE) Feral Bear (Tank) + Resto (Heals) and 3x Feral Cats or 3x Boomkin.
For PvP, a very strong current team is 1x Healer (usually Priest or Paladin) with 4x Death Knights.
The DK's run Frost for PvP and can go 4x Blood for PvE.
Four blood tanks takes a while to kill things... but has very good survival, especially with the healer.
This team is generally driven by the healer.
Almost anything you want to run, has a good chance of success for PvE play.
The basics are generally, something that can Tank and enough healing...
Last expansion I ran Prot. Paladin, Demo. Warlock and 3x Elemental Shaman (who between them was enough healing for all 5-man content -- did everything except Oculus).

Personally, in my limited experience I've found I prefer warriors over paladins for tanking. I play my warrior by clicking using the mouse and I mash keys for the dps/heals. I like the seperation between tank / others mainly because I can stop dps'ing and still have my tank do stuff. (This is because I can only mash one button at a time!)

I have setup my 1,2,3 keys for
1 - GET AGGRO
2 - DPS
3 - Heal Tank
1 - The shaman drop totems, the healer pops earth shield and riptide on tank and tank starts cycle.
2 - Tank continues. All shaman inc. resto dps tank's target, hot will be thrown on cooldown from resto
3 - Tank continues. Resto heals tank with bigger heals, DPS continue.
So 1/2/3 switch what my space bar does depending on what i need to do. I just tap space bar throughout.
I would suggest using Holy Wrath on both single target and aoe for your pali tank. It is distributed between all surrounding enemies so a single enemy will receive it all. Especially if you're glyphed with it, it stuns alot of mobs.
I personally prefer DK as a tank while a boxing friend of mine prefers warrior. I think it mostly about personal taste and experience. If you learnt one melee/tank class better before started boxing, you'll like that one better while boxing as well.
Use the one you think is most fun and that class will be the best one for you.![]()
