I did not change the channel and password but in shuffling addons turned out SuperDuper Macro was causing all the "Jamba lag." It was the only addon whose deactivation helped. FYI.

More ideas for those who are still having trouble with Jamba communications.

    1) Try changing the options in the new Networking options section of World of Warcraft and see if that makes a difference.

    2) Try checking "assume team is always online" under the advanced settings -or- uncheck this and change the private channel username and password and relog all your toons.

    3) Disable all addons except Jamba (and ISBoxer if you use it) and see if Jamba behaves.

    4) Disable the standalone Ace3 addon if you have it installed.

First, Jafula, your addon is amazing!

However, since Blizz put out their new patch, I have been having issues. I have tried all of the things mentioned in this thread in post #21. However, my Quest Watcher is not working. On all toons, it remains completely blank.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tracked / watched any quests using the quest log?

If you mean using the WoW UI, yes. All the quests in all the logs are marked to be tracked. I have also completed quest objectives and added/completed quests, and it still remains blank.

Can you push Jamba settings to other toons? I.e. is the addon communication system working?

Yes. As I've been fiddling with things trying to fix this, I have had absolutely no problems pushing the changes to the other toons.

Mmmm, looks like I'm going to need to test it; will try and fit in a wow session tonight. Blizzard did make a change to a function that Quest Watcher uses, but I thought it would not affect Jamba. Perhaps it has.

Well, you shouldn't be having problems with Jamba (and other addons) communicating anymore as Blizzard hotfixed the new addon registration system away.

    • A bug was causing the addon chat filtering feature to not allow registered addon messages to come through. Addon chat filtering has been temporarily disabled and restored to 4.0.6 functionality.

I booted up a team and in a quick test it appears to be working again.

If it worked before, Blizz, why change it? *Shakes head* Sometimes, I don't understand those people...
