    Default Hey multi-boxers

    Hi all
Been watching this forum for a while looks im going to jump into the mayhem soon.
Been playing wow for 2 1/2 years and seen a couple of muti-boxers

was leveling up and saw the msblonde, black etc. team on thurrussian and thought it was the coolest thing
randomly browsing the net does pay off, it landed me here

    My rig:
    Q6600 2.4ghz (not clocked)
    2gb ram
    Nvidea 8800gts 512mb
    xp service pack 2
    22" ws monitor
im going to buy another 22"

i was interested in running a shaman 5 team or a 4 shaman 1 pally team.
do you think it would be possible on this rig?

thanks and im looking foward to getting started =)

With lowest grafics and sound settings i think it would be playable, but if you go to a major city, or a bg you'll run out of RAM.

    Your FAQ Guide (Read)

    Can My Computer Run +accounts?
    (Insert Computer Specs Here)
This is by far the most asked Question Here. What I tell people,
    Quoted

Its hard for people to judge your system just by specs, to be honest all comps act in their own way. Best thing you can do is get trial accounts and try it for your self.
I would like to add Recommended hardware you should have.

    Quoted

    Wilbur:
    Q6600 - Recommended Processor
    4GB DDR2 PC6400 - Recommended RAM
    8800GT 512MB(+) - Recommended Graphics Card
    Good brand 500(+)watt Power supply.

Without the above you'll only be gimping yourself if you want to do a 5 in 1.

and ram is pretty inexpensive so its all good

Im from AUS so i get a fair bit of lag (constant 250-400)
will this affect my followers in-terms-of casting/following?

Short answer, but yes, followers will be a bit left behind from the main pov or a bit jumpy in moving. Also casts and targets will be passed on slower.

I think this may be your biggest issue. I recommend grabbing some trial accounts and trying out how the latency affects your /follow and casting macros. Definitely go into a capital city to load up the CPU a little and see how /follow works there as well.
    Cranky old-timer.

Disabled the Nagle algorithm if you can, that should make things a bit quicker.

Although yeah, The latency between you targetting something, then the alts requesting it from the server, etc. It could get messy if you are extremely laggy.

    @Mith
basically... it's packet buffering in an effort to reduce the total number of packets sent across the net.

how is it done? basically, as you send data... that data will be added to an 'out basket'... and if the basket fills up, it is shipped immediately. if the basket 'times out' before filling up... the contents are shipped immediately. the result for gamers would be an increase in latency as the keypress doesn't leave exactly when you hit it.
