real id whisper not working with jamba?

Hi all,

So I did a quick search through the forums, and saw that this was an issue in the past, but then fixed by Jafula, but then apparently broken again since patch 4.0x came out?

Aside from reading up on that thread, I couldnt find any current information on either here or through google. closest one I could find was

which I think is outdated?

My question is, am I doing something wrong in terms of settings? or does Jamba 0.7e not yet support real ID chat forwarding?

If it makes any difference at all, I'm currently 5 boxing using ISBoxer, and when I whisper a real ID friend, their response will bounce to a random alt screen. Sometimes when I'm whispering 2 or more of them each one of their replies will bounce to a different alt, which makes holding multiple conversations quite difficult.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Real ID whisper forwarding was broken for a while, but is now fixed in 0.7e which changed a lot of the options. Have a look at

/jamba-talk

I recommend trying out the all options and getting friends to whisper you while you do until you find something you like.

Please let me know if after playing with the options if things still don't work.

I found a fix for this and it works just fine. Using PhanxChat, I enable the option "Replace real names" and then Jamba forwards them just fine.

What needs to be fixed? Jamba 0.7e does not work for you? Is there a bug?

Hi Jafula!

Thank you for the quick reply. I was using 0.7e already, but I just didnt have the right settings. Per your suggestion, I tweaked with the setting combinations and eventually found one that worked perfectly for me.

In case it helps out anyone else having a similar problem, here is the setting that I found to have worked for me.

- forward whispers to master and relay back
- forward via fake whispers for clickable links and players
- add originator to reply queue on master
