    Default Pally + 4 priests

I'm building up a new team to experience the new low level zones.
A question, if all priests go shadow and uses vampire embrace and DoTs, will this generate enough healing to keep the tank up? Also the pally can use that new holy word healing now and then as well. Will this be enough or must I go disc/holy on one of them?

There are oodles of threads just like this one. Try to utilize search first.

Short answer-- it's not a long term viable solution, but you will probably level up OK with the setup. Be prepared to drop into 1 holy, 3 shadow, 1 tank in a traditional trinity setup for many instances/bosses.

I found it easier to spam holy nova all the way to sixty, it decimated all the old dungeons. I was pretty early in the sixties I had to switch to a more tradtiional build, though I'm now loving the four disc/smite monsters with terrible dps but hella survivability at level seventy eight.

Well, Holy Nova is now a lvl 62 spell. I can say for the first 20 or so levels, word of glory is quite an effective heal, and you will rarely have to heal with the priests.

I personally went with discipline specced priests and a prot spec paladin. Right now, I am level 34 and I can say that the disc talent Atonement is an absolute godsend while doing instances, using that, you do not have to heal, just spam smite.

Eventually, Smite spam in with a talent in Disc, will heal the lowest HP party/raid member.
And deal DPS while you're at it.
You can glyph Smite, which gets you Hit Capped (for Smite) without needing any +Hit.

I've found 5x Penance, to be a rather nasty DPS tool for a Disc team.
Plus as Disc, they're able to heal basically as well as Holy, although a lot of the "healing" is damage prevention.

Thanks for all advices. I'm glad I started this group, it seems to have some very nice options.
I will dual-talent them so I'm able to easy switch between a shadow setup and a disc setup.

I've had a good deal of success with my priest team - I enjoy them very much. I also have dual spec disc/shadow. Although disc does great for most fights, for very heavy movement fights like heroic PoS Ick, shadow performs very well. For that one fight I switch to shadow, establish aggro and cast my DoTs, and then kite my butt off.

    Enjoy your priests!!!
