Thread: Healbot

    Default Healbot

A careful consideration of successful 5boxing requires the solution of 3 roles: tank, dps and heals - minimizing the complexity of managing these roles are, in my opinion, the key to success in MB.

So from my limited, newbish experience, there are a few ways to do this.
    1. very complicated macros,
    2. minimizing 1 of the 3 roles to nothing (i.e. x1 paly and x4 dps shamans reduces healing to a x4 healing totems essentially).
    3. choosing simple classes with spammable actions (i.e.; non-proc based classes such as palies, druids and or shaman).

So in reducing the complexity of healing for me, I want to have the healbot addon appear on my tanking window so that when i click on it, my healer does that function.

So i was thinking that i have to set up a zone in ISB where repeater allows mouse repeater between tank and healer.

Does anyone have any experience with this very specific situation?

    Thanks.

Pretty common set up and discussed a ton on this site. I'd do a search or two on healbot and/or vuhdo. You'll turn up a bunch of threads on folks' approaches to this exact technique.
80 Blood Elf Paladin, 80 Blood Elf Priest,80 Troll Mage, 80 Undead Warlock, 80 Tauren Druid, 80 Undead Rogue
    80 x4 Shaman (Orc x3, Troll)

Or get grid, with grid custom lists and clique and use repeaters regions. I'm guessing this is the same as vuhdo setup. I'm assuming you mean Druid healer in terms of non-proc based classes ...

You may want to use Clique and Grid....with those you can set it to be alphabetical, so it will be the same no matter what window you go to....but with Healbot, Im not sure you can set it alphabetically, so the way it would be on your mains screen would be totally different on your healers screen.

There was a setting for alphabetical with Healbot and Vuhdo.
Grid, requires GridCustomLayouts for alphabetical ordering, which is what I use... also Grid requires Clique to interpret the clicks, while Healbot and Vuhdo do not.

However, all three work and you can use whichever option you prefer.
    For an alphabetical listing, use:
    /Grid Config
Layout > Custom Layouts > New

    order=NAME;

For for a fixed order, use:
    /Grid Config
Layout > Custom Layouts > New

    ToonA,ToonB,ToonC,ToonD,ToonE;sortMethod = "LIST"
    n1;NOR
    n2;NOR
    n3;NOR
    n4;NOR
    n5;NOR

I use Healbot on my DK tank to "display" the health status.

I have 5 regions defined over the Healthbar of Healbot, so I can click those "regions" to issue a KEYPRESS on my healer.

My tank is always partyleader and my healer always the first to be invited.

From there on my healer knows who is on which "region"

    Code:
    e.g. Num0:
    /cast [@party1] Flash heal

    num1:
    /cast [@player] Flash Heal
    ...

You can set up Healbot Alphabetically.
    Skins>Healing>Main Sort=Name

I recommend click bars over repeater regions when using healbot.

Post #19 for my setup using click bars.

Found a much better way to sort with Grid/GridCustomLayouts.

    ToonA,ToonB,ToonC,ToonD,ToonE,ToonF,ToonG,ToonH,To onI,ToonJ,ToonK,ToonL,ToonM,ToonN,ToonO,ToonP,Toon Q,ToonR,ToonS,ToonT,ToonU,ToonV,ToonW,ToonX,ToonY, ToonZ;NAME
    1,2,3,4,5;5/5;NAME;NR

This will display five groups across, and five names deep.
The first column will be comprised entirely of the Toon's you have listed, and is sorted alphabetically.
The remaining columns, is the rest of the party/raid/battleground.
No name is repeated (the NR), so if you list all your toons from all of your teams, they cannot appear in columns 2-5.

The 5/5 is five columns across and five spots deep.
You can modify that if you like.

The 1,2,3,4,5 refer to the number of groups which should be displayed.
If you were to run old world 40 man raids, you could change the second line to:
    1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8;8/5;NAME;NR
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.
