Halls of Stone

[Eyes in the Dark]

with horrible memories of halls of stone stemming from the Heroic Tribunal event, I didn't hold out much hope when I dungeon found my way in today, in fact I was so sure I was going to spend hours bashing my head against the event.

Now this is on normal, 4 characters at 76, hunter at 77 and O...M...G, was I ever a happy boxer to clear the event without much of a sweat....the semi annoying thing, even thou my lock had the quest...it didnt complete so I am going to have to go back there again



I suspect it will be a lot worse on heroic when I get there

did HoS again for the first time with my team. Not as challenging as my toons are higher level (4x80, 1x76) but god do i hate that event.
I end up running around alot and end up with toons facing in all but the correct direction, and at that point they usually get hit by the big LAZER OF DOOM.
no casualties though thanks to my priest overhealing 24/7 (got to love holy priests aoe heals) but messy messy fight lol.

/scared of when HOS-heroic comes my way.

Aside from being underlevel or undergeared to take this one on, what's so hard about running this one? I'll be honest, I have not multiboxed it yet. I've only run it about 5 times with my main Pally tanking it with the LFD tool. So far, I've only run it on Heroic and cleared it everytime without any wipes. From what I've seen and guessing, it looks like one of the easiests to multibox out of all of them if you've got a good healer that can pop off strong group/aoe heals. Even the Laser event hasn't proven much of a problem when I tank it. I just draw in each mob at the doorway when they appear and keep them on me at all times. Even managed to get the achievement for it for not letting Brahn get hit. 'GTFO' addon also helps for warning you to move out of a damaging AoE you're not aware you're standing in. Gives off an annoying buzzer warning sound telling you to move your ass. Just keep your group together with this addon and it shouldn't be much of a problem dealing with the laser.

Go multibox it then come back and post. If you still feel the same way, fair enough. I think you'll feel differently however.

The problem i have is that some mobs just run past my tank, and then either agro on Bran or one of my other toons.
i get them to focus back on my toon but by that time other mobs has spawned and i'm running again to get them, then there's the big lazer of doom that happens and somehow all my toons are facing in a different way, i IWT them all but in the meantime mor mobs have spawned.
and then suddenly either bran is dead because i missed some casters, or on of my guys can't get out of the lazer or something.

it's just a lot of things happening when you need to control 5, and with lower gear the killing takes longer and therefore the fight is prone to go pear shaped.

Managed to get it on Heroic on my 4th try though, but stupid bran was at 25%hp >.<

You aren't alone Zub, the event is tough for all of the reasons you said. My guys have ~ 4800 GS's and I still wipe on that event sometimes...
