it could be that the slave pc network adapter or card are effed up. I had my mobo connector go bad on my network connector thingy and had to get a new network card and put it in because of it. It also could be bad router or a setting got effed up by an auto update, or driver issue for the router. If you use windows 7 you can troubleshoot connection issues and it could help find that problem pretty easily
