    Default Slight technical question

hey lads, long time lurker and boxer. heres a question for ye. i run 2pc's
1 master with my main, and a slave with my 4 slaves.
however recently for some bizarre reason my slave machine is getting insane MS< like 5k+ for no reasons whats so ever. while my main pc is chugging along nicely at 100 MS, now they are connected to the same router by cable. it has me stumped? am i about to have a major face desk moment here?

it could be that the slave pc network adapter or card are effed up. I had my mobo connector go bad on my network connector thingy and had to get a new network card and put it in because of it. It also could be bad router or a setting got effed up by an auto update, or driver issue for the router. If you use windows 7 you can troubleshoot connection issues and it could help find that problem pretty easily

will try, whats unusual though is the method how it starts, i will log in and have my customary 100-200 is MS on both machinces, then small lag spikes occur, and it jumps up to 5000, ive even once seen it go to 12000, and one or more of my toons will buy a d/c. then it starts working again even though it says its 5kms it seems maybe 500 max. and then after maybe 5-10 minutes it will go back to 200 again and that can happen all the time or maybe once or twice a a day.. it only seems to affect wow though.

Try running 4 WoWs on your main pc and see if they get lag spikes then. Might clue you in to where the problem is.

Perhaps run a traceroute to the blizzard servers as documented on Blizzards site at the same time as you are playing all 5 WoWs. If you see lag spikes along the way, safe to blame the internet at large.

Edit: Link to Blizzards traceroute page.
