Thread: Diablo 3

    Default Diablo 3

Hi guys, I'm posting here since it seems I cant access the General part of the forum.
I've been driven here by some pictures of one of youre members' multi-boxing setup with countless screens and that pretty much amazed me !

Now, I've been reading as much as I could of this forum, and multi-boxing seems like a really fun way to play. I see that pretty all of you are playing on MMORPGs, unfortunately I don't have the money to pay for so much accounts and anyway that's not the kind of game I like.
So I have been thinking, one of the game I am really looking forward is Diablo 3. I suppose I am not the only one.
Do you think this game will be easily multi-boxed ? I guess it would be an exciting way to play it, what do you think ?

    (sorry for my poor english)

I'm not sure if there'd be any point.

The whole idea of the Diablo series was that you could solo pretty much anything you wanted, the dungeons automatically scaled to the number of players involved - no item was out of reach to a single player.

I'm very much looking forward to D3 myself, but I don't think I'll be multiboxing it (even if that could be done) unless there's some more specific point to doing it.
...for when one toon just isn't enough...

    Horde Caelestrasz Multiboxer:
Team1: 5xPaladin....Level 80 - Heroic gearing completed. WTB [Frost Badge] pst pls.
    Team2: 1xPaladin/4xShaman....Level 80 - On Hiatus, Awaiting Cata.

Contact on: Nevergonna on Realm Caelestrasz (Horde)

Caelestrasz Horde: 5 Active 5 Boxers and counting.

Oz is right, game scales to easy for 1 person. plus very little is still known on game still. (hopefully blizzcon fixes that)

tho on a side note.. im feeling burnt on wow, sounds like it would be fun to fire up diablo 2 and go through story just to know it better before diablo 3. (plus roommates never played) thanks for the idea! lol =p

What story? You mean there were three big bad evil dudes, they were imprisoned, but now they are not imprisoned, and you must kill them again?

About multiboxing D3, I would think that would be impossible to do effectively. I recall Blizzard saying that the game could be played entirely using only the mouse. Mouse broadcasting is very inaccurate especially when the characters are not in precisely the same spot. I don't even think you're able to move with the keyboard at all.
Jenzali - Troll Druid (Level 85) - Emerald Dream
Soon to be joined by 4 other Druid buddies!

    true.
game is very mouse oriented. 1-5 or w/e is just potions.. lol and few other keys you use to open map/chat/change spells

From what I gether from the gameplay videos, It will have more of a hot bar function ala WoW, so I imagine click to move/attack, with hot keys for specific abilities. I doubt they will implement follow or macros though, which makes for a tough boxing experience.

I bet with ISBoxer and its precision mouse broadcasting dualboxing Diablo III would be viable. I am really tempted to give it a go...

If you want a free fun MMO, Guild Wars is pretty good. Except follow is not really follow. Its run up to the targeted toon.

its spam repeatedly. If i ever play it again I would toggle bot following. I am hoping GW2 would be better but its been in development for ever. They just released info on the first profession, elementalist.
