What is World of Warcraft Remote?
World of Warcraft Remote is an upcoming subscription-based service that will allow World of Warcraft players to buy and sell items on the Auction House through the upcoming World of Warcraft Remote Auction House website or the World of Warcraft Mobile Armory app for mobile devices. The World of Warcraft Remote Auction House is currently undergoing beta testing; for the duration of the beta-test period, players can try out and test the premium-based features (including making purchases and posting items for sale) of the Remote Auction House without a subscription to World of Warcraft Remote.

So if anyone can test it out for free, we should be able to see how useful it is.

I hope they (Blizzard) are going to take care eliminating potential exploits as this is the first tiem they've allowed anything other than 'read only' access to the game data. I can see a few people developing apps to make money off the auction house.

Before everyone complains, be aware this service will be limited to 200 transactions per day. So don't expect to control the glyph or gem market from work :P

Well this will suck for people trying to move gold cross factions using the neutral auction house. Normally the way to do it is to stake out all the neutral AHs and only move gold/items when nobody else is near a neutral auctioneer. I'm not sure if people using the mobile AH will have their character actually standing infront of an auctioneer, or if it will just happen on the back end. I definately will NOT be paying for it, but i might try it out. It just seems like it will be very tedious, and only useful when you are away from your PC for an extended period of time, and if thats the case you probably shouldnt be thinking about wow...

Might open up some interesting market analytical tools, if you can use it to scan the AH. I mean I scan once or twice a day, but I'd have a much better idea of what's going on if I wrote a little python script to scan it every few minutes.

It would also be kind of fun to use it to buy gems/enchants in the middle of a raid after you got a new item, and toss down your engy mailbox to retrieve the stuff. Or if you need to change glyphs or something.

Looks like you can access the AH on ANY account/character thats tied to your BN Account!

Another reason I'm glad I had all my accounts tied to ONE BN account!
