Crying about all the work I will have to do on Jamba to make it compatible with all the API changes they make that break stuff!![]()

Jafula.
Jamba - Jafula's Awesome Multi Boxer Assistant. An addon for YOU.
Leveling... lol.
5xPaladin team is now 62 (and a half...woot). I REALLY want to gear them up before Cata comes out, so if Cata doesn't come out till November or so, that'll be just fine by me.
Also, silently praying that Jafula does all that work on his Jamba mod which is an awesome multiboxer mod. Props to you. :-)
...for when one toon just isn't enough...
Horde Caelestrasz Multiboxer:
Team1: 5xPaladin....Level 80 - Heroic gearing completed. WTB [Frost Badge] pst pls.
Team2: 1xPaladin/4xShaman....Level 80 - On Hiatus, Awaiting Cata.
Contact on: Nevergonna on Realm Caelestrasz (Horde)
Caelestrasz Horde: 5 Active 5 Boxers and counting.
- After a reset/expansion i used to be among the very fast levelers in other games. That is if work allows me to take a 1-2 week break. Since I only started to play wow during wotlk, I can only guess how it goes here. But it's for sure one of my interests with the upcoming expansion. The main problem with questing i see is that one has to fight for spawns, and with a multiboxing team it's gonna take even more time (unless the skip every collection quest).
So i'm curious to learn from your experience during earlier expansions:
- were the questlines available upon release (i.e. were thotbott, wowhead updated, ...)
- is running previous expansion dungeons at start an option (i.e. will killing a lvl 81 mob in icecrow give the same xp as a lvl 81 mob in the new zones?)
- is there a lot of debate on various forums going on about the fastest leveling routes?
- will we have clear profession 'guides' on how to boost them to the nex maxlevel? Also.is farming in icecrown a viable option to lvl up mining/herbalism/skinning to a certain extend above 450)
- will there be movies/howto's available about how to clear the new dungeons, and moreover how to box them?
I realize there is no 'ready to go answer' to my questions, but just curious how it was with the release of tbc & lich king.
That's the kind of info i'm going to research for the fast leveling part. And i guess thats depending on the beta (which i have little to no interest to play).
- For my team composition i'll have some leveling to do to be ready for cata. Eventually my make up should look like this
Account A: 80 pally tank (main toon i talk from, buy/sell from him, etc), 80 druid tank, 80 warrior tank, 80 dk tank 80 ele shaman, 59 rogue twink
Account B: 80 ele shaman (main raiding toon), 80 druid, 80 dk, 80 lock, 80 warrior, 59 rogue twink
Account C: 80 ele shaman, 80 priest healer, 80 lock, 80 mage, 80 warrior, 59 rogue twink
Account D: 80 ele shaman, 80 dk, 80 lock, 80 hunter, !80 pally healer, 59 rogue twink
Account E: 80 resto shaman, 80 dk, 80 lock, 80 warrior, 59 rogue twink
So eventually i'll end up with 23 lvl 80s.
Having a tank of each sort on my main, and have a least a healer/melee/ranged on each slave.
20 of them are alchemists (15 done so far)
Need to level up an engineer and inscription to cover all profs.
Each 'team' will have at least 1 enchanter and 1 gatherer.
Considering after the OP to fill the rest with tailors, as it's pretty cheap and fast to level those up.
The idea is to lvl first my main team to 80 asap. And then alternate the alts to 85 so i can play in rested time.
- Goldwise i should be ready to jump into cata as we speak. I'm way too cheap to do big expenses. I have only epic flying on my miner, every time i'm about to buy it i change my mind since i don't find it worth it. However with the ability to fly in the old world, its something i'll have to do on all toons. With the 4-5k a day i currently make, it should be pretty easy to affort all best BoE's for my tanks and main team when they become available in cata. I don't have any amount of gold in my mind however.
- Computerwise i'm awaiting the hardware requirements and how well cata will run under wine on linux. The outcome will either make me having to upgrade my machine significantly (if not going all the way), or tuning some of the other machines i have here and change to a complete hardware boxer. Either way i'll have to rewrite my xdotoo script from scratch and ad more functionality, as it's one big mess for now. If for one or another reason i'm no longer able to play wow on linux, i'll just move on to a new game.
Everything that is fun in life is either bad for your health, immoral or illegal!
I prefer questing to instances, for leveling. But that is a preference thing.
Questing in the new zones is a very frustrating experience, for the first couple of weeks, unless you race and get ahead of curve.
There will be quest stacking guides, from people in the beta; one-boxing, I'd say the stacking guides are worthwhile but boxing, I'm not sold on their use.
With a pretty good group, instances are pretty close (speed wise), plus there is no collections or competition for mobs.
Even if you can only do trash initially, until someone figures out how to box the first boss, it is an option.
PvP was not a leveling option, until very recently. It is interesting to note, the brackets are all x0 through x9 now, so 80th will be the lowest level in their bracket for all BG's. Not sure how fast PvP will be, in relation to Quests/Instances, but I'd think it will be a bit slower.
In both BC and WotLK, there was an experience multiplier added. I would assume Cataclysm will be the same. Basically a level 58 mob in Outland is worth more then a level 58 in Western Plaguelands. Same deal with 68's being worth more in Northrend then the same level in Outland.
x8 always seems to be the minimum level to take quests in the new regions, with rewards being very strong, especially if your toon has recently made maximum level. I know they want to give everyone tank level health, so I'd imagine 85th greens being better then iLV 200 gear.
As far as profession guides, I've not seen many out at release, but if you go with orange/yellow recipes, they're not that hard to figure out. Most of the gathering guides, have you gain 20-30 points in the older content before moving to the new stuff.
If you have the gold for epic flight, I'd really consider it. It speeds up leveling time, by a large margin.

For the first one month, the waiting time for me was like 30 mins to 1 hour per toon. By the time, when all 3 of my chars are login, my play time is up or left about 30 mins to play that is base on the beginning of the previous expansion in Blackrock server.
Even on single char loging the queue is very long wait.

If you're gona screw with my sig at least leave the thing bolded :P
I'm finishing up all the stuff that I think might be endanger of not being there after Cataclysm, lol. Going to try and do my Loremaster before some things are gone.
Also finishing up a lot of things I've been working on for ages. Finally got the Time Lost Proto Drake and Razzashi Raptor last weekend AND the right binding for Thundarian all in one day. All I got to farm mountwise is the Tiger from ZG.
Finished my 'The Insane' title this weekend.
Rep farming with all the old factions and Achievements. Got my Bloody Rare done this weekend also, lol.
Not going to be much left for me to do but save $$ and do the daily heroic and even that is losing desire since the gear will be replaced so quickly in Cat.
