I recently started it too. There is a bit of competition. I've found I need a pretty big stock to make it work, but it's easy to build over time. It starts to pay off when glyphs you bought for 50s - 5g last week are now 30-50g, or there is no competition at all and you can sell them for 50-75g a piece in a few hours. I don't know why scribes put them up for 1-5g, less than the cost of mats probably.

One thing I learned from the guys that have been doing it on my server awhile is to list them for 12-24 hours max (not 48). You will most likely be undercut 2-3 times on most of your glyph auctions and you'll want them back in your mailbox as soon as possible. If they don't sell in a few hours they probably won't at all.

Ii've got my fallback price at 16g atm, i want to get rid of some competition first before i'll let the price rise again. But there are about 10 people posting glyphs a couple of times a day atm, i try to cancel & repost every few hours, see if i can get rid of some. I bought a batch of glyphs for 30s yesterday :> Be carefull that you do not buy glyphs that are listed here(http://www.wow-professions.com/wowgu...ion-guide.html) for leveling, since there will always be more supply of them the needed.

I've got everything worked out atm, expect for how i supply my glyph mule with new glyphs. I'm gonna try and have the mule have a stack of atleast 3 glyphs in his bags, so once there's a stack less then 3 i know i have to craft it. Because i was checking beancounter to see what sold, then craft those glyphs on my main, but this just takes to long, should be able to do that more effective.

How do you refill the glyphs on your mule? or do you use your scriber to auction them?

    I have 2 450 Alk (and like 5 at 300) and 2 440 Tailor.

Tailors make about 125G X 4 every 4 days off the cool down cloths.

Alk make about 150 gold once a day off the transmute (Kings amber or Majistic Zercon go for the most).

Alk is simpler as you dont have to go to dragonblight (I dont have cold weather flying and I die at the maw place and run back to do the combine heh), and alk is a bit easyer to level if you have goldthorn and briarthorn stocked up. Go to AH now and buy up all goldthorn and briarthorn you can see.

Just box up 10 alkemy guys and its 1500 G a day for like 5-10 mintues.

I didnt get the hang of QA at all. I like to post in singles and it dosnt do that. But that "summery" that tells you like all the herbs or elementals etc. is available by level is really nice and worth to get QA just for that.

Ya for sure glyphs is all over the place, one day selling for 4G and next for 44G same item.

Im leveling up JC and Mining (just on smelting but you do have spots where you have to go out and mine) and BlackSmithing and those are expensive to say the least. JC is costing like 10G per combine at around 200.

Good tip from Ualaa that you use appraiser in auctioneer to sell with (I was using "post"), can set stack default to one.

I am buying them using auctioneer resale when they drop below 40% market value or so. I log on a few times a day to build my stock. Seems like more work to have to worry about crafting them.

Right now I am focusing 90% on resale, and about 10% on disenchant on my one toon that's an enchanter. Glyphs and scrolls have been the most steady income, there are underpriced ones every time I scan. A few times a week I see bulk enchant mats being dumped at less than half price - I snatch those up and sell them over the week. About once a week I see a massively underpriced epic (I got those ilvl 200 tank shoulders for 45g and resold them for 1000g within a few hours, lol).

I was recently talking to a guild mate who is rich from selling about 80k worth of titanium when that new patch came out
on my server (barthilas) there is about 3-4 people who sell 80-100k of stuff on the ah daily. They pretty much control what anything is sold for. Mostly boe patterns and gear are the biggest movers these days. But he says they also sell bulk stock but on multiple toons so as not to cause undercutting by others after seeing 1toon selling 200 stacks of titanium ore.
What I got from his wisdom is you need to be watching the AH all the time to pick up the bargains as there is always people trying to find the same bargains as you. Scanning twice a day is nowhere near enough. I farm heroics on my tank like a trojan when I can ( video card died 2 days ago so I'm reduced to browsing forums on my iPhone) after the gold reward and selling enchanting mats I don't bother playing the ah.

Are those patterns actually selling? Every time I scan for resale I see the ilvl 245 patterns at lower and lower prices and Auctioneer's historical data is telling me I'd make like 500g profit on each one, which I don't believe.

I dunno. I don't play the ah as I said. Sorry when I said recently it was pre icc. His advise to me was unless you start with 15k it's a waste of time (I know... But that's what he said, and I believe him as he moves ALOT of stock)

If you don't check the ah multiple times a day I find it very hard to make a good profit since you get so often undercut.

Today I was trying to sell a buckloads of glyphs which I had still lying around on my inscription toon. It only took an hour to get 80% of them undercutted.

I bought a few of those epic recipes and make a decent profit of those by crafting the items and the berserk enchant sells quite good as well.

The competition these days is really fierce so playing the ah (even it can be fun) went from a part-time job to a full-time job

You have the potential for a larger profit on the auction house.
And long term, that is probably the best place for the largest profits.

Transmutes can be very decent too, depending on how many are on the market.
And the demand for the items.

I find the dailies to be the easiest.
In that it is a fixed amount, no matter what the market is like.
It is one of the more boring aspects of wow.
And running dailies on three sets of five toons gets old very fast.
But it is consistent, cannot be undercut etc.
