    Default [Tip] Chanelled Collection Quests

    Hi all,

Just a tip for new boxers who are struggling with the 'required' collection quests.

I was running the quest 'Not a Bug' today and it occured to me that not everyone may be aware of a little trick to collect an item for each of your toons, instead of just one at a time.

Anyway, the above quest requires you to kill demonic minions and siphon an essence from their corpses, with the use of the Rod of Siphoning. Once a siphon is completed, the corpse is useless. So, what you do is, have all of your toons target the corpse and use the rod at the same time, which can either be done by adding it to a hotkey/bar and passing the command, or with a typed command, such as '/use Rod of Siphoning'. Voila, all of your toons have looted the quest item.

    Hopefully this will help someone.

    Cheers,
    Winters

The Ebon Blade daily "Leaving our Mark" can be completed the same way.

If you use Jamba, the Item Bar module makes this easier. You can drag an item to the bar on your main and the slaves get the same item on their bar. Press the key (broadcasted) associated with the slot on the item bar and all your toons will use the item.

Never seen that feature before, but I'm definitely going to make use of it now that I have.

The item bar module in Jamba is easily the best feature every implemented IMO.

The bar is a very neat idea.

I have a macro, for the dailies.
In the same place on each of my toons.
And have a Repeater Region, over that one button.

But the bar will work with any item.
Without needing a specific macro written up.
It will be particularly good for leveling quests, which you do once and then never use that item again.

This is a good use of the bar indeed

I have been using Jamba dev for a while so i have had this functionality for some time now

What i really like it for is quest reward gear i find the piece i just got in the main toon bag drag it to the bar push the button and all toons equip the new piece without having to go to each toon and search the bags for it its like an auto gear equip for them all (drag it back off the bar so it cannot be unequipped)
The exceptions for this are items that have more than one slot on the Character sheet
I.E. rings trinkets and main hand off hand
It could inadvertently replace the Wrong piece so this is all still manual but hey we gotta do somethings the old fashion way right?
