    Default Help with Jamba "Quests"

Ok so I just started Dual-Boxing.
On my second day now and I am definitely enjoying myself.
I just have a few questions.

I played for a few hours and I'm tired of having to switch screens to accept quests and loot bodies.
Jamba took care of the looting just changed it to FFA. But what about quest item pickup? Is there a way to make my slave auto loot miscelaneous items/quest items?

Also I understand with Jamba 4 you slave should be able to follow the master's quest path?
My slave does not want to talk to the npc and accept quests, however it will abandon quests as my master does.
I've tried /jamba-team iammaster and the other slash commands like /jamba-follo <target> <tag> but nothing seems to make my slave do exactly as my master.

All I need is someone to explain how the auto questing works with my slave so I dont have to constantly swith screens on my Mac.

If anyone has any advice/tips I would greatly appreciate it.

P.S. Also /script??? how do those work? I've seen a few slash commands that start with /script but it only brings up lua errors when I try to use them. I don't 100% understand all of this yet and have done countless hours of experimenting and research before posting and still need help with these 3 inquries.

    P.S.S. Please excuse my spelling/grammer :P

    Hello,

    Welcome to the forums!

With Jamba Quests, you need to open the npc dialog on your slave first before Jamba can work properly.

If you have clonekeys on your mac you can set up key broadcasting to make your slave open the quest dialog on the npc.

    http://code.google.com/p/clonekeys/

Clonekeys should send a key press to both the master and slave WoW. I am sorry I have never used it, so I cannot help you with it, but I know you need it to be good at boxing.

    On your slave:

    • go into the WoW interface options, go down to the mouse part and enable 'Click to move'.
    • bind a key to 'Interact With Target'.
    • make sure you have a key bound to 'Assist Target'.

    QUEST

Now when you do to a quest npc:

    • target the quest npc with your master.
    • press the key for 'Assist Target' (now your slave should target the quest npc).
    • press the key for 'Interact With Target' (now your slave should run to the npc and open the quest dialog).
    • do the normal quest things (select, accept, etc) on your master and Jamba should make your slave do the same.

    LOOT

    To loot on your slave:

    • target the dead mob with your master.
    • press the key for 'Assist Target' (now your slave should target the dead mob).
    • press the key for 'Interact With Target' (now your slave should run to the dead mob and loot it).

As for /script, you probably do not need to use these commands. The /script commands are to run internal WoW user interface commands.

    I hope that helps you.

    Hi Jafula,

I'm trying to run a 3-box of warlocks, but the above methods of keybindings don't seem to be working for me.

I'm using Keyclone and a single PC to run three WoW windows. I have extensively tested Keyclone on my system and I know that it works as intended. [Translation: It works enough for me to kill stuff without dying too much. ]

    • I've set my two slaves to Click-to-move in the Options->Interface->Mouse menu.
    • I've set F11 as the bindkey for "Assist Target" on master and slaves. (Previously unbound)
    • I've set F12 as the bindkey for "Interact With Target" on master and slaves. (Previously unbound)
    • I target the NPC with the master, I press F11, then F12, and the slaves do nothing.

The slaves usually have the master as their focus before beginning this little sequence, however they usually have nothing targeted.
I've got to be missing a crucial part here, but I'm just not able to put my finger on it.
    Can you please help me?

    Thanks.

Looks good. Does F11 and F12 on the slaves windows work? If so, Keyclone is not passing the keypresses to your other windows. I don't use Keyclone, but I think I read it has whitelists and blacklists for keys. Hopefully a keyclone expert will be able to help you out if you can't work it out.

Ok, what I posted above wasn't entirely accurate.

I set F11 to "Assist Target". When I press F11, the message "You have no target." appears on the slaves' screens. So the command and the key are getting passed to the slave screens. Are my slaves supposed to target the NPC or corpse first? It seems like I'm missing a step in here somewhere in going from slaves having no target to slaves targeting the target of the master.

Ah, I see. Sorry. Eeek, my bad. Your slaves need to target your master before you hit the assist key. A better way would be to make an assist macro and drag that to your action bar (which has a key assigned) - which would be:

    /assist name_of_master_toon

    hello and welome =)

there is no addon that can help you pick the actual item up, as that would be an automated act.
However, u can do this quite easy yourself by making a macro called

    /assist maincharacter

and then go into keybinds and bind a key to interact with target on all the slaves.
This will make the slaves target your leaders target , and then "rightclick" it.
    hope this helps

Edit: Jafula is so fast =P
