Thread: Group Order

    Default Group Order

    Hey All,
I'm sure someone here has the answer for this. I looked around the net but it appears I couldn't phrase my question correctly because I couldn't find and an answer.

How does WoW order your group?

From experimenting it appears that its not:
    A) by level
    B) alphabetically
    C) by class
    D) by time joined

knowing in advance how my group will be ordered will help my macros. I know you can use pitbull to make it appear alphabetical.

After a week of casual playing, my 1st multiboxing attempt of 5 Druids is now at level 23 and have finished WC and RFC.
I'm enjoying it so far. Thanks for all the info on these forums.

I _think_ your group is ordered by the order in which invites are accepted.

    So.

    You at top.

Party leader at top of party list.
    1st invite
    2nd invite
    3rd invite

This was a recent change and I haven't really taken much notice of it or done any testing to check its validity. Can someone confirm or tell me I'm wrong?

Yes, party order is implemented and in Jamba 0.5 which you can test. You add all your team members to Jamba, and you can use the up and down buttons to order your toons.

Using the Invite button or /jamba-team invite will cause Jamba to invite your toons to a group in the order you specified in the team list.

Unless they have changed something I thought that the way the party is ordered had in some weird way to do with the age of the character. I know it sounds weird but I could have sworn I read that somewhere.

Thank you all for your quick replies.
I'll have to look at things again. Last week I had my 5 druid group in an order I didn't like, so I kicked one out and then re-invited him.
What you all seem to be saying is that he should then be the last member of the group when he returned. He was not though.
He was back in the spot where he was previously.
Next time I'll try disbanding the group and reforming and seeing what happens.
    Thanks for the info though.

Ya, you will have to disband to get it reorder them. It remembers someone's order in the group even after kicking them.

I still think it has something to do with when the character was created. I searched and searched but could not find the reference.

The Leader is always Party1 but all the other characters are assigned by when they were created. I hope I am not nuts but my memory rarely fails me (ok maybe it does but this feels right)
