Default Am I doing something wrong?

Boosting my level 12 RaF partner in the Deadmines with my level 80 Death knight.

The level 12 (Warlock) is getting a mediocre 9 exp / 25 exp (elites) per kill, surely this should be higher? I see in peoples YouTube videos that the RaF partner is getting 300+ exp per kill in some instances!

    Thanks for any help,
    Leo

The linked characters have to be close in lvl's. Don't remember exact maybe within 5 lvl's of each other. So if your friend is linked to the 80 raf won't count.

The toon doing the boosting is not supposed to be involved with RAF at all. So at min you need 2 lowbie accounts linked to each other and one higher account boosting them through stuff. So you need a total of 3 accounts to make this work well.

Or you and your raf friend have another friend boost both of ya with a higher lvl account. The booster can't be raf'd with the boostie. (is that a word? is now!)

So, really to get 3x exp i need to:

(optionally) link Veteran #1 with RaF #1
Link RaF #2 with RaF #1

Then, ensure RaF #1+2 are within 3/4 levels of eachother, would this work?

The whole point of me doing this is so that I can claim some free levels on my Main (Veteran) account.
Surely, when RaF #2 levels, the Veteran account wont get any free 'grant' levels?

What is your goal of the RAF? To level a toon on your veterans account to ~60?

    Account 1 = Level 80 guy
    Account 2 = RAF account
    Account 3 = RAF account 2

If you want to bring a level 80 and boost yourway through instances WITH the RAF bonus you need to link Account 2 -> Account 3 (or the other way around). If you link Account 1 -> Account 2 and try to boost you won't get the RAF xp bonus. But I think you are correct in saying that for every 2 levels account 2 gets you can grant 1 level to account 1 (as longs as the level is lower than the granting toons level). Make sense.

I haven't really dealt with RAF in over a year this is just what I am remembering.

So, your saying that (Veteran) + ((Account1)+Account2), or Veteran Recruits RaF1 WHO HAS RECRUITED RaF2 will work?

    EDIT: Net says that
    X>A
    A>B
    B>C
    C>D
Works and grants "many" levels to account X (Assumed Veteran) (" You can use your main to boost.")

Thanks all for help, if theres something im missing please let me know

To grant levels to veteran account, both your RAF accounts will need to be linked to it.
    So Vet acct recruits RAFAccount1
    Vet acct also recruits RAFAccount2
Then lvl 80 on veteran boost 2 lowbies, 1 from each RAF account.

Once 60, they can each grant 29 levels to any character on your vet account that is both below them in level and below 60.

Just a note, cuz I saw your edit.
If your recruit rafacctb from rafaccta you WILL NOT be able to grant levels to a character on vet account, only on rafaccta.

But surely I will not gain the benefit of 3x experience? Due to the RaF #1 and #2 not being linked... ?

    EDIT:
I think I have the answer now,
    X->A
    A->B

One would assume that Account 'A' will get NO 3x exp for quests/instances/mobs because Account 'X' is veteran, therefore (in my case) will be level 80, thus exceeding the +/- 4 level cap. However, Account 'B' is linked with Account 'A' meaning that, provided account A+B are +/- 4 levels apart, Account A AND B will get 3x exp, correct?
Even if there is a level 80 in the party ? (Boosting in my case)
    Correct?
