Follow was the only movement function that Blizzard have NOT protected in their WoW API. I don't know why, but *I* assume that they must consider it harmless enough that to leave it unprotected.

In my opinion (and you need to make up your own mind), it is therefore okay to use this function in addons, in whatever manner we see fit, exactly like we use the function that lets Jamba automatically accept quests.

"Nobody is being banned. One of the first things GMs do after a new patch is recommend that people disable addons, because they often cause problems if not properly updated. With the exception of cross-faction communication addons and malicious addons, if it works, it's okay to run.

Remember that if there is a separate program running while WoW is running, that watches or interacts with the game, then that is against the ToS, but addons without any executables are fine."

I believe that auto follow after combat and follow strobing are not malicious.

However, you have participated in this debate previously and I suggest anyone else that is interested read Vyndree's posts because she raises some interesting questions.

Anyway, if you are not going to be comfortable, don't install Jamba-Follow (you can disable it from the addons screen).
