Gotcha. I'll keep poking at things while I run my dailies today and let you know if I see anything else worth noting.

    Cheers!

Something else I noticed that's "squirrely" if you will. It seems related but has two distinct behaviors with JambaQuest:

    1. When going through dailies, what I do is target the quest NPC, hit my assist key, then my "Interact with Target" button so all 5 open up the quest dialog. Then I start clicking the quest options on my main. On the dev version, I notice what looks like the alts will close and then immediately reopen the quest dialogs, causing what can best be described as a "flicker" on the alts when it's doing this. Not obvious unless you're watching for it but it is noticeable, moreso if you're in a laggy part of town like icecrown.
    2. As a result of #1 (I suspect), I also notice that sometimes when doing multiple dailies from the same NPC, the quest dialog will spontaneously close itself when turning in dailies. I noticed this on the last couple from the horde zeppelin in Icecrown (the set with "Neutralizing the Plague," "That's Abominable!" "No Rest For The Wicked," "Not A Bug" and that series. It was strange, and eventually, I got the dialog to stay open long enough to turn it in.

Steps to repro (do all of the dailies first, and prepare to turn them in as a "batch"):
      1. select NPC on all chars.
      2. hit "Interact Target" to open the NPC dialog on all chars.
      3. Click the first quest selection to turn it in. Observe all 5 select it and turn in in-sync with master.
      4. Click the second quest selection to turn in. Observe all 5 select it and turn in in-sync with master.
      5. Click the third/n+1 quest selection to turn in. Observe that some alts will spontaneously close the NPC dialog completely, requiring a reset to step 2.
Note that you may have to go through the quest turn ins rapidly before you see the behavior. Unfortunately, it seems to be intermittent. I saw it do this once on an NPC with only one quest available (Aces High!).

Let me know if I can do anything to research this further. (Debug mode or whatever.) I'm doing dailies on the two groups now and will advise if I see it again.

Yay you included the team stuff I mentioned in my post on your main Jamba post! I am so looking forward to this, will make my life much easier, I like to do the dailies with different team set ups so this will make it much easier to do!

Again thanks for the great Addon Jafula!

I'm pretty sure i'll want an option to disable everyone being master for quests, but i'll see when i play around with it after i get back from vacation.

    Just a quick question:

With the 'old' jamba you could add as many Toons in the teamlist as you wanted and then by clicking them on/off decide which ones you want to use.

In the 0.5 version currently I can add toons to my team, so that they are in the teamlist, but i haven't foud a way to 'deactivate' them, other than removing them completly...

..is there a way (or will there be) to do it like the 'old' version does?

After two days of dailies, I've not found any other problems not mentioned in my previous posts in this thread. The one where one or two alts will spontaneously close the quest dialogs when turning in dailies still shows up but it's fairly rare.

The quest dialog still does appear to close and then reopen (the "flicker" I mentioned) all the time when doing quest accepts and turnins. I can live with it, though.

This might've been mentioned before, but is it possible to add in a /jamba-assist focus strobeon/off all command like the //jamba-follow strobeon/off all one? If so, then this might greatly benefit melee class teams. Might help cut down on how many times we have to mash the /assist focus macro button just to get everyone to assist the mains. It could be purely optional to use, and set to off by default like the auto follow is.

I'm guessing Jamba is going to replace Pitbull for me due to BGs putting my toons in random partys/raids. I'll be able to answer the question tonight, but if you click on a name in the team list then will your toon be targeting that toon? Or is it going to be purely a way to keep track of toons health and follow status?

The more you can make the team list functional the more I'm determined to use it. A mana bar, cast bar, etc would be very helpful. I think it's going to be awesome that even if I queue in WG and my toons are put in different raids I'll still be able to play as if they were in a party, thanks to Jamba!
The display team list functionality is coming in a seperate addon. (This is so other addon developers can write other ways of displaying team list information.)

I was thinking of making the buttons the toon list clickable and letting you edit the macro underneath the buttons. Will see what I can come up with that works...

Thanks for your all your testing. The flicker is because I also mirror an additional quest/gossip event (some sort of close event, cannot remember the name). I'll see what Blizzard do with this event, because the dialogs don't flicker for that event with the standard UI.

It's awesome that this is the only problem you have found.

Have you (or anyone else) had any problems with characters going online/offline (I'm hoping not, it seems to be a pretty sweet system so far)?

Why would you need this? Two very effective methods of making this intrinsic:

    • add /assist <focus> or /assist <charname> in your attack macros.
    • use [target=focustarget] or [target=targettarget] in your attack macros.

Or were you using some other method of targeting/assisting that makes this a non-starter?
