    Default Shaman + HunterX4

Anyone run this setup with the Shaman as the lead? I am not sure I really like it and just want to know how others felt. Basically, I have my Shaman commaning my hunters to attack. And they in turn comman their pets to attack. I feel like I don't have much control this way. They are all just level 20 and they crush stuff easily, but I find getting them to focus on the right target hunters and pets a little more difficult than it should be. Might be the way I have it set up, but I accident;y had the hunters command their pets to run right into the lava. Was funny, but not functional.

It's usually easier to lead with one of the hunters and have your healer contolled buy keybound macro's.

Yeah I would lead with one of the hunters, also i'd probly use a tank pet on him instead of a dps(cat, raptor, etc) this way you can bind all your toons pets to keys for your mains pet and have excellent control.

I've run with a Druid, Shaman, or Priest as lead character (and healing) and 4xHunters as my DPS/tank crew.

It's by far easier to use your healer as your main character, run a healing addon like HealBot and use mouse to click-heal on everyone/pets and keystrokes to control hunter group. Hands down...
    Cranky old-timer.

    Everyone has their own system.

I generally handle heals with my healer assisting my tanking toon and then casting:
/cast [help] Heal Spell; [help, target=targettarget] Heal Spell; [target=party1] Heal Spell

Actively playing the healer could work out well for some as well, as the poster above me attests.
Most posters here seem to play the tanking toon, and macro the heals/dps.
To each their own, everyone finds a system that works for them.

Just left a note on this team make up multiboxing hunters. which pet to use?

For normal PVE easy quests - I use which ever toon has mining or herbs for the lead so I can pick/mine along the way. Usually a hunter. Also good to have a hunter on lead when AOE grinding with VOlley - that way his tank gets the mobs off you after you use your mount to round them up (think buzzards in Hellfire)...

BUT - when doing anything even half challenging - an instance or BG or PVP on an %$$$$@ or whatever - I ALWAYS switch to my resto shammy for the lead. Use frost shock to tag the mobs (& I also have a focus system for sending pets to various mob members when doing a multiple pull) and then be ready with the chain heal or riptide to keep the tank alive. I have found that as long as the Gorillas are alive - I can smoke anything.

I also always have one hunter that is specced BM and all tanking talents (toughness etc.) for both hunter and pet are selected - as well as all stamina equipment - and that pet gets the earth shield. Not worried about that one's DPS - just always want one Monkey that is alive at the end of every fight.

    Enjoy, Sing

EDIT - Just re-read Boylstons post - he got it EXACTLY right. Easy to key the hunters & Healbot to keep the team alive.
