Best Horde race for shamans???

at 70 many toons run with 350-400 plus resilance = resists many war stomps. have a passive skill to resist stuns is much better. if you want stuns make them engineers and then you have both

Not sure if I understand you stealthy, how would resilience cause war stomp (or any stun) to resist? War Stomp does resist frequently though like all active racial abilities. I can't count how many times my blood elf paladin's arcane torrent resisted when I needed it most. Too bad engineers can't use bombs in arena =/

I have two orcs (hunter & warlock) and the passive stun resist is hardly noticeable. I'm more hard pressed to give up Blood Fury. I think at the end I'll go for looks / armor skins.

But yeah I don't think resilience affects resistance to stuns, from Wowwiki:

1% [b]Resilience[/b] will:[*]Reduce chance to be [url='http://www.wowwiki.com/Crit']crit[/url] by 1% [*]Reduce damage from all crits by 2% [*]Reduce damage from DoTs by 1% [*]39.4 resilience rating per 1% resilience at level 70

My main reason for choosing Orc Female was for the look as well. After thinking through all of this though, Tauren actually might of solved the #1 issue I'm having in Arena's which is keeping LoS. I need 4 seconds ~ ish to guarantee death on any target. If I could weave something to hold the target in place long enough, mission accomplished.

Damn... now I need to go re-roll :P

Start lvling them up and then re-roll come wotlk since all the gear you have on your orcs isn't going to matter

Blood Fury is great for that extra burst damage (+143 damage x 4) but with (EM + CL + NS) x 4 aren't you doing 12-14k damage to your target anyways? Especially when followed by 4 shocks.

Yes, you would be doing that much damage. However, in PvP against targets with high resilience, your crit amounts will be a fair percentage less. Every little bit of extra +Damage helps!

I tried rolling 4 tuaren male shamans and my god, I could barely see anything but thick juicy cow hide. Think I'll save myself the sanity and stick with orc.

I guess I have been lucky with my Orcs I check combat logs and I do resist stuns about 15 percent of time. A passive skill is always better than a have to cast one. I do not play arena's only BGS so in that reference ORC> cows
