Most of the high end raids in EQ are FAR from tank and spank, I'd rate them as more difficult than WoW has to offer. Its true, Sam did take down the 'hardest' mob in the game, unfortunately, by the time he did it, the level cap had been raised and his toons were much higher than the encounter was designed for, so it was no longer the 'hardest' mob in the game.Originally Posted by 'glo',index.php?page=Thread&postID=169630#post1696 30
All of Sams claims about his total superiority in EQ are pretty much bullshit, or taken completely out of context, I have no problem translating them so its easier for WoW players to understand the rediculous context in which he makes these claims.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have better things to do than go whip Sam's ass up and down where ever he happens to be just for shits and giggles. Not to mention the complexities of figuring out his play schedule. Dude doesn't seem to actually log in more than a few times a week, as far as I can tell.
It has nothing to do with scaring you, Sam. You've clearly proven to the community that you have tough skin and are immune to taunts, jabs, ridicule, scare tactics, or even downright reason.Originally Posted by 'Sam DeathWalker',index.php?page=Thread&postID=169584#p ost169584
I'd just like to see you in-person in the game. As much as I think you're jousting at windmills with your endeavor, it would still be fun to see and take my own screenshot.
A screenshot of 26 corpses would be even better, though. Let us know when you are done patching and doing character transfers to cover up for mistakes you shouldn't have made if you hadn't listened to us!
Did I "win" EQ;

If I'm not (well was before SoD expansion, but man with 24 cleric mercenaries I would be invincible in pvp) top dog, who is and why?
Two computers are rebuilt, working on the software stuffs tonight. Two more to go, but waiting on of all things those cpu heat sink clamp down things (my big typhoons are to old to have them so I have to order some cheap junk sinks to the get am2 clamp down thing). Still I might be able to log in when the software stable (rerigerstering windows after the MB change now). If my new MB's get the high memory bandwidth and improve FPS a ton as I expect Ill have a new post on it.
Not trying to be critical here Sam, nor am I wanting to rain on your parade, but in a MMO where there is supposedly "no end", how do you figure you won a game that didn't have an ending? Correct me if I'm wrong, but beating all the end game content doesn't make someone the winner of a game that doesn't have an end, right? I mean, was there a race to see who finished everything first, or had the most of everything? I never played the game so I don't know.
How do you beat something which has no end?![]()
Sorry if this has been asked before. I have a tendency to stay away from your threads, so if this has been asked and answered before just ignore this.
edit: I'll give you one thing Sam, and this is no bullshit; you have the toughest goddamn skin I have ever seen! I'm serious bout that.

He didnt beat all the end game content. Nothing like...
Wilbur
You beat others by having the ability to beat them in pvp (all they have vs. all you have) OR you kill a stonger mob with all you have vs. all they have. Thats the only two accurate measurement. PvP is ususaly not possible due to different servers and what not so who can solo the stongest mob with characters on accounts they own (and leveled up themselves) and playing as many accounts that they own as they can at the same time. Others can raid and get raid items to improve their toons but if all that gear dosn't let them kill a stonger mob then I can kill then well I guess Im better.
You never beat the game as there is always more to do but you do beat other individual players.
Of course I stoped about July of 2008, I am sure that I will be passed up as time goes on. But as of July 2008, I consider myself the best. And some others on that thread do also.
And no matter, I think we can all agree that I am the best known EQ1 player at any rate. The only other two might be Fansy or Furor and they are gone into the dustbin of history while I am still around.
Again if you are of the opinion some other single person did better in EQ1 then me, say who they are and why. That thread was a sticky for many months and anyone who wanted to claim whatever they wished were free to do so.
To be honest I think that what the problem with Wilber and others have with me is that I have accomplished vertutually nothing in WoW and yet I am better known, and more famous, already then others who have done 100 times more in the game than what I have. I do self promote and as a result I get known. Well ...
So, having more toons allows you to kill something that's bigger than what a solo player can kill. Okay.
With that said, and again, I'm not trying to call you out or anything, but by having more toons and paying more money than anybody else, means you bought your winning status, right? You have more accounts which you purchased just so you can have more toons than everybody else, right. Head to head, you purchased your win right?
No offense, but a lot of folks would consider that cheating, and thus nullifying anything won.
I'm not saying anything...
I'm just saying... /shrug
