Custom xKeys

I have been wanting to build my own custom xkeys for a while. pi engineering sells the Matrix board so it should be pretty simple (although not cheap). I started designing one earlier this year, but decided to scrap it after other real life obligations came up. Since then I have gotten into Dual Boxing and eventually plan to Quad box, so I am thinking I should redesign tailored for that. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas? I am drawing blanks at this point.

Here is my old design which I never finished..

The Red/Green was layer toggle for the keys.

Yellow were just to be "Anything" Keys
Pink were to be Pet keys
Green was for Buffs, Decurse, W/E
Light Blue were the main "action bar" keys
Bright Blue Were for Pots, Eat Drink, Aggro Dump and other things you wanted easy access to but not as immediate as actionbar

You don't mention movement. I plan to map individual toons movement keys using my (off the shelf) x-keys. I don't know whether it will be useful or not, but I know more complex movement is required in some dungeons (have not made it to that content yet).

what kind of team do you plan on running?
cuz that can potentially impact your layout

I hadn't considered movement. Currently I use mousemove on the main and follow for the slave (I haven't made it to trying instances yet). I only have 2 accounts right now, using a Xkeys Professional I leveled a lock and a mage up to 80 and now am working on a DK and Priest. Once I get them to 80 the temptation to expand to 4 accounts might be overwhelming. The thought of having a tank, healer and 2 DPS really appeals to me. After thinking about it for a minute for movement I could get something like this...



And Basically have 1 for each character. The Xkeys Matrix can support a Max of 128 keys. Each one of these toggle switches would consume 4 keys (Up, Down, Left, Right). I guess I really need to sit down and think about what capabilitys I want each character to have, and how to intellegently map that all out. I am just drawing blanks of how to make it all asthetic.
