    I got pyroblasted by a mage ( it was a crit ) for 16,736 damage ( I resisted about 4k of it so it was something like 12k dmg done due to our talent I believe )in one of our arena's with 523 resil when we did games a few nights ago ... so yea mages are just as bad as rogues. I'm up to 688 resil and honestly it doesnt do shit, I didnt gain hardly any hp from the gear I'm sitting around 17.5k hp. I can take all my pvp gear off and roll in pve and not even tell a difference, which I have done accidently after raids a few times. Still have a few items to go though, and I intend on doing a few more games at the end of the week once im fully geared out, but I'm not holding my breath or anything, probably just have to wait for the patch and see whatever they intend to do about the damage in arena ( which might be nothing, who knows ).

    Questions.

    1. How much spell dmg will you have witth the first gear set ur aiming for ?

    2. Will DPS be good enough to down 20-30 K players before they down you.

    3. Almost every sinlge class now uses shitloads of AOE dmg meaning multiboxes are in danger alot due to the AoE dmg.

    4. I tried some arena games now and was purly smashed down my boots by 4 dps teams barely able to kill 1 person before everyone was dead.

    Pally hear had little to no chance keeping me alive.
    - My current gear is full Stormhide crafted, spell dmg 1300ish with totem 1600. 459 Resiliance


    5. So basically will it be worth working 24/7 again for first pvp gear or will we get steamrolled in 2 months aswell.

    6. i am very aware of that gear right now is what is missing for us multiboxers. We will get gear but so will the other people can we burst down 30K or not ?

    This has concerned me for a while now. With a 4xShaman+Partner setup, I used to be able to prioritize the worrisome classes/specs like Fire Mages that could cause AoE havoc for the team. (Or at least heal through the one per team that might have that ability and then resume blasting away). Post 3.0, so many specs have new AoE abilities, many quite potent, that I think almost any team you go up against is going to be able to just AoE burn down a multibox team that is clumped together.

    I think the biggest indicator that the arenas have problems is NOT that multiboxers are suffering, however. I think it's that pre-WOTLK gladiator teams that have a lot of skill and practice time together are getting their butts handed to them. I wouldn't necessarily expect the same pre-WOTLK comps to be as inherently good post-expansion, but to hear stories about teams that were Gladiator-ranked for multiple seasons pre-expansion that can barely hit 1600 now is an indication that there are big balance issues.

    Even with a lot of tuning, I still think multiboxing arena successfully will still face a big problem with more AoE damage. I don't think it's any kind of Blizzard conspiracy to ruin multiboxing, either. (I think it mostly stems from them being responsive to player QQ about "my class doesn't have AoE in PvE". Too many people parsing WWS data...)

    A lot of AoE right now is getting toned down, because it's making PvE a joke as well when you AoE every pack.

    (As a note I'm not boxing the arenas right now, just doing 2v2 dual warlock which is probably the worst combo right now tbh).
    1 magma totem is pointless however 5 together is 3k and up dmg every second which is nasty if you are doing spl dmg on top of that. It is simple, more dmg = faster kills.

    How is dual boxing 2 warlocks not boxing?

    I ran into the same problem initially -- it is hard to farm honor, but Wintergrasp gives out honor like it's going out of style. 4-5k for a win and like 3-4k for a loss and you get tokens towards titan-crafted gear which comes out real soon now ( trademarked :P ).

    I started raking in almost 15k honor by doing wintergrasp and its dailies and then I can play some AV leisurely or switch it up for marks (for concerted efforts daily).

    Magma totem ticks every 2sec so at 600 a tick its 1500 dps per target from the 5 totems... its good in some situations but not really great.

    I'm just running a single warlock right now (really wish I wasn't, leveling a rogue atm) and do 2v2's with a friend.

    Your team will be dead before those totems even get a chance to kill someone.

    played 4 arenas, had 3 of them 2 warriors charge and bladestorm me. didnt have time to even put totems down before i died. other one rogue and pally and war just destroyed me. pretty depressing really.

    its crazy that longest game I had was about 6 seconds.

    I knew arena was going to suck for us. This only confirms my fears. I will do my 10 arena games Monday and I am getting the lube ready. The best I can do is just play 10 games a week and get the blue pvp set. I can get the epic non set items with honor and keep trying vault for hatefull or deadly items. I would advise everyone to run vault with 1 toon. This gives you more chances at drops. It sucked this week because I ran it on each toon heroic and normal and saw 1 shaman drop. It was resto and they gave it to the resto shaman over me even though I won the roll. No biggy I understand. However, out of 10 runs you would think I would see shaman loot more than 1 time. It was nothing but plate over and over.

    On a side note the pally bubble crap is sooooo stupid. They can just run into your group bubble and kill everyone. Its not bad if only one does it but if you have multiple gg. I may just start every arena and wait for the charge. Try to EM Thunderstorm them. If I can drop novas and time the Thunderstorm right as the nova goes off maybe I can kill someone. Those 20k+ health guys suck. Speaking of health. I did a wintersgrasp and alliance started with 15 stacks of tenacity. They all had 60-70K health and own the hell out of anyone they touched. They also had 16 vehicles in a matter of a few minutes. The match ended in under 5 minutes. I rode to the west vehicle station died.. Spawned road towards our base and the game ended. Thats how fast it was when they had 15x Tenacity. Really stupid pvp. I hope blizzard fixes this crap because its horrible.
