after reading a bit more, it's still kind of unclear....
As we mentioned yesterday, in an upcoming patch -- possibly 3.1 -- all vehicle-style mounts are being changed to behave like normal mounts.

"all vehicle-style mounts" kind of makes me think they're changing all vehicles... i mean technically tanks are a kind of mount right? There may be a glimmer of hope, just don't get 'em up too high til we get a better worded response from a blue :P

edit: after reading a few more posts it looks like they're only changing the mounts that you can actually get in your mounts tab... otherwise they probably would have said something specifically about tanks, etc
